Captain Munnerlyn to me on body-slamming Drew Brees: Do you understand why they called an Unnecessary Roughness penalty on you after you sacked Drew Brees? "I don't know. I don't know how you are supposed to sack a quarterback...I tried to get an answer. They couldn't give me an answer. I don't know, at the end of the day they called it."

What did Brees say to you after you explained that you didn't try to harm him?

"I been playing against him going on six years now. He's like 'you're a good football player, man. I admire your game.' He said, 'keep it up.' I was like, just trying to explain to him I'm not a dirty player. I'm not that type of guy to just throw guys around on the field and try to hurt guys. I play football. He's like 'I know, I know.' He got the call. All the extra stuff he did I think that really drew the call."

Do you think Brees thought it was Robert Blanton who body-slammed him on the sack?

"I went to tell him. He thought it was 36. He said, 'he threw me on my head.' I said, 'no, it wasn't him. It was me.'"

You admitted to Brees it was you?

"I'm not going to run from that. It was me. I told him I did it. He was like, 'oh ok man, you threw me on my head.' I was like 'actually you landed on your back. You didn't land on your head.' They called it and like I said, to me, I feel like it changed the game."

Do you think Brees should apologize to Blanton?

"He needs to (laughter)."
