Amended fan account in Nagoya..

[17/9/14, 1008am, in-flight]

How should I begin writing this..?

Feelings. Right here, right now is like a ball of tangled wires. But on top of these rather negative feelings, I feel thankful towards many things.

Firstly, the travelling that I have been doing within this 3 months would probably have been impossible if without for my parents, especially my father, who sponsored most of the large expenses needed to chase this star. I felt rebellious for doing so, but again, I promised I will work hard on my future endeavours not letting them down, for the love they have given to me.

Secondly, the entire trip of chasing the star was a smooth ride for me, thanks to many fans and friends from different countries who helped me out. In purchasing tickets when it is nearly impossible for overseas fans to get one, in sending medicine all the way to my hotel when I’m down with a cold, for treating us to local delicacies, for guiding the ‘nearlyluckyenoughtofilmlostinchina’ me all the way from the airport to the venue, in trying the best they could to understand what I’m trying to ask despite the language barrier. And yes, thank you Jan... for putting up with grumpy Stephanie during that particular trip.

Lastly, this is dedicated to the man himself. For without him, the two points above probably wouldn’t have existed. Thanks to him I have the chance to do what I like to do best.. travelling around Asia and cities I’ve never been to, meeting fans & people from different backgrounds. I really enjoyed it aside from attending the concerts because I love sightseeing! (provided the conditions are right) Also, thanks to him..I always remind myself to self-improve on my lacking criteria such as confidence & perseverance. A part of who and where I am today might have been a result of his pieces of advices in interviews, like ‘If you can do it, you can achieve it. If you think you can’t do it, then work hard to achieve the possibilities.’ - in other words, do not give up.

I believed yesterday was possibly the last concert I was able to attend and for a long long while starting from now, I don’t know when I will be able to see him live again…

for this reason alone, I am thankful I was able to make it to the last stop in Nagoya.

Enough of the cheesy, teary and boring sentiments. Time to move on to writing a good piece of fan account from what I managed to recall. I really couldn’t remember every single bits of the show (don’t even mention about other stops I’ve went since I was pretty spaced out in other shows..) but I’ll just write for Nagoya based on what I could recall.

[17/9/14, 1131pm, room]

I shall start writing from 15/9/14 when he arrived at Chubu International Airport in Nagoya. I arrived several hours earlier at the airport, and surprised!! 2 full rows of fans were already lining up at the arrival terminal waiting for him. It’s my first time coming for Japan concert and it really did came as a surprise to me because Japanese fans really queued up accordingly. Perhaps they didn’t know which flight he’s taking, the crowd suddenly stood up when a flight from Incheon arrived at around 6pm, ready to welcome his arrival. They were all waiting anxiously to greet him as soon as he came out, but noooo!! His flight will only arrive at 9pm..and so most of them sat down again. Barricades were set up at around 6-7pm when the crowd began to build up but fans followed tentatively to what the securities ordered.

At around 8.30pm, securities told fans that camera and video recording were strictly prohibited and Japanese fans also passed the message around to us, overseas fans. Fans in the front row sat down to give a better view to fans standing behind and I was touched to see noona fans whose back was already aching and still waiting for him willingly!

9.00pm..flight arrived. Fans were all excited. One of the securities (the head, I supposed) came out and jokingly told fans…’The manager told me that his legs are naturally long so I can’t help if he walks quickly..’ We waited and waited, and finally his dancers and managers came out! Fans cheered and clapped even for the dancers. ‘(dancer’s names) hwaiting!!!..sugohaseyo (all the best)..saranghaeyo (I love you)' were all that I managed to understand from what Japanese fans were cheering for the dancers. Some dancers were shy and quickly ran while some even waved and smiled at fans like a star themselves hehe!!

(side note: The dancer waving at us like a star was the one who couldn’t hold back his laughter during Please performance in Nagoya ^^;;..very funny guy imo)

Manager and securities went in and out of the arrival gate. And then we waited again until 9.30pm when he finally came out. Dressed in grey tee with a black cap, he really STRODE but again, I was thankful he stopped for a while right where I was standing. I was again..Blank Stephanie whenever he’s within my radar distance. Not really sure if he took off his cap or not, he nodded, smiled and waved at fans. I saw that his eyes were also scanning at every fans’ faces..so many beautiful smileys he’s looking at ^^~ He looked fine to me as ever, bright eyes and smile..although there might have been a tinge bit of tiredness in his eyes due to his eye bags? He then left the airport in about..1-2 minutes after he came out of the gate but it seemed like forever when he stood and smiled at fans!

Right after he left, all the fans were suddenly rushing back to their respective hotels (I guess..) to the extent I don’t even know what was happening. Crowd was suddenly gone in a blink of an eye LOL! Anyway, gathered myself back again and off I went to my hotel to get some ‘beauty beauty’ sleep.

The next day..arrived at the venue around 2pm. And I believed many fans have already started queueing for the merchandise since morning because the queue was super long (but very neat!). Wanted to grab some food since I haven’t eat anything since morning but restaurants at the venue were closed ㅠㅠ (didn’t eat anything for the entire day until I went back to the hotel..but hey! Just the thought of attending his last stop for the tour erased my hunger ㅋㅋ)

Anyway, after I got my concert ticket from a Japanese fan I couldn’t thank her enough for her help (아리가토고짜이마쓰~) and went to collect some freebie supports by fans outside the venue. And around that time at 3pm, Hyun Joong finally arrived at the venue. Hi Hyun Joong!!! *smile smile smile* although I didn’t see his car hehehe!!

Met two very nice Japanese fans who helped a lot getting around the venue. I felt terribly sorry because they couldn’t get any concert tickets but went all the way down here to Nagoya from Osaka and Kobe just to catch a glimpse of him! I presume many fans from different parts of Japan did so too , even overseas fans!

Finally, fans with concert tickets entered the concert hall. The hall was not relatively big but there were 3 floors in total, accommodating 3,000 seats in total. Seats were comfortable and audio system was great. Since this was the first time I’m attending concerts in Japan, the security wasn’t as tight as I thought it would be because there was no security check when entering the venue. Even in the venue, there’s only 2 securities in my area which I rarely saw them in sight. Perhaps Japanese fans were more obedient because despite the MIA securities, no fans in my area took out their recording devices..except me. (well anyway, my connection got cut off in the middle..) I should have taken my phone out and put it in front of me so I can check my line throughout the concert..;;;

[18/9/14, 3.20pm, room]

Concert started at 7.00pm with the starting performance. Was really amazed by the audio system coz it’s so good!! Hall darkened and green sea of fanlights began lighting up and fans began chanting ‘Kim Hyun Joong! Kim Hyun Joong!’ in Japanese. He finally entered the stage slowly with ‘Stop..들려줄게 이 심자이 올리는 소리~ start..from the beginning..’. After the song ended, he went backstage for a while to prepare for the next song ‘Unbreakable’ and heard some fans around me even shouted ‘가지마~!! (don’t go!!!)’ ㅋㅋㅋ

He came back on stage shortly after with Unbreakable and Break Down, with fans cheering splendidly along with him. Next, he started with the introduction and emphasised that it’s only a 1-day and last day concert in Nagoya and hope that everyone can enjoy the 2 hours show to the max. He warmed up the entire hall by shouting ‘Are you ready?’ to each floors which was responded by loud ‘네~~ (yes)’

Somewhere in the show I couldn’t remember at which performance he said this, probably between Let’s Party and Gentleman, he said he’s really sweating buckets today but he will really give in his best in performing each and every songs. (hehehe always enjoyed his Gentleman live performance coz it makes me wanted to dance along too! Oh and I love his dance moves..so cuteee!!!!)

Next performance, ‘When Today Passes’. Don’t know why but when he sang this song that night, I was thinking.. 'When today passes, when will I be able to see you again?’

Then it’s time for ‘I’m Your Man’. He’s picking the lucky fangirl himself live again. Firstly he wanted to pick a fangirl who’s currently still single but almost everyone raised up their hands to which Hyun Joong jokingly said, ‘No lies. You’ll be punished if you’re lying~’. Then he asked what about those who are the same age as him..and everyone raised their hands again! And Hyun Joong pointed jokingly at fans again ‘Sue..sue!’ ㅋㅋ The Japanese fans next to me looked at me as if asking whether am I an 86-liner hahaha!! How I wish I am!! However, a fan in the front row who was really an 86-liner got picked up on stage.

The lady nearly teared up and trembled on stage. He asked for her name and birth month, and she’s probably born in January if I’m not wrong (unsure about this part since I was fixing my phone..but she’s either born 5 months earlier or later than him). Then he asked ‘Do you know the song ‘I’m Your Man?’ Can you sing the part ‘..I’m your girl~’? If you do it well, I will take a photo and a hug with you using your phone.’ The lady was obviously very nervous and he handed her a bottle to calm her down. She rejected the offer and Hyun Joong suavely drank the water himself!!! Hyun Joong told her it’s alright and fans below the stage will help her too!

Despite her nervousness, she sang her line and Hyun Joong presented her a bouquet of flowers and posed a photo with her! A short while later, not really sure what happened below the stage and concern-looking Hyun Joong said, ‘Ah..you wanna email the photo?’ (not sure if I heard this right but fans were all laughing)

With the next few songs, ‘Words I Want To Say’, ‘His Habit’, ‘Beauty Beauty’, ‘Do You Like That’ and ‘Lucky Guy’, the atmosphere got higher and higher and maybe it’s only me but I feel the aircond temperature was lowered as the atmosphere went higher LOL!! Fans in the first floor were bombarded with fan service as he went nearly to every walkable corners while performing His Habit. (forgotten if he did for Beauty Beauty too)

After 'Your Story’ was ‘Please’. This was probably the funniest version of ‘Please’ I’ve seen, not Hyun Joong himself but by the dancers. During the bridge when everyone were supposed to take off their tees, only the two dancers (perhaps the skinniest among the team) on the right stripped fully! Dancers on the left and even Hyun Joong did not stripped even though some teased fans by making a slight motion of taking off their tees. Some lifted their tees but put them back down. I wondered if the two dancers were pranked or was it the whole part of the choreo? Hehehe..anyway without stripping, still a perfect performance by Hyun Joong. But clearly, fans didn’t cheer as loud but went ‘eh!!!!’ after the performance ended hahaha!! Was still carrying a hope he might strip during ‘Just Like Before’ but noooo!! ㅠㅠ

(Through KIMHYUNJOONGPERFECT fan cam, you can see that one of the dancer who stripped turned his head slightly to the back to peek at other dancers hehee. Perhaps this is only my personal perception, but Hyun Joong seemed to smile a little when he took the mic from the dancer ㅋㅋㅋㅋ ah..the sexy performance just turned into a hilarious one!)

Before ‘Just Like Before’ performance, he sat down on the chair and said..’I’m very happy to meet all of you here. Don’t know why but I have the feeling that I will be able to see you guys here again someday. It looks like many of you are holding the ‘Always the same thought/mind with you’ placard. (distributed as part of fan support). Well, although I think it’s ‘always the same thought/mind’, but I think it’s better to say ‘tomorrow will be better than today’ (or directly, tomorrow more than today). For me, I’ll be thinking of you guys tomorrow more than today, with the same thought/mind hehe..’

Before he moved on to ‘Nothing On You’, everyone was chanting his name in which he tried to quiet fans and said ‘I know~6,7,8,9, it’s been nearly 4 months since my tour started, and meeting my fans from different countries. Although there were good and bad along the way, but thanks to fans from all around the world, I’m still standing here. Although I’m living my life as Kim Hyun Joong, but it isn’t lonely when fans are with me. For everyone, I will live up my life with no regrets. ‘

Lastly moving to encore, he did told fans that he will only sing 3 songs (and that’s all) for encore which was Your Story Japanese version, HEAT, Hotsun and Goodbye. (thought that was 4?)

Fans were very high singing along during the last 3 songs. During HEAT, the background music for the last part was suddenly cut off and fans continued to sing until the very end. After it ended, Hyun Joong said, ‘That wasn’t on purpose, it was really a mistake hehe’. A beautiful mistake, I would say. I was so moved by everyone singing along! Ah too bad I didn’t know the lyrics ㅠㅠ He didn’t change his clothes for the encore as the encore started right after Kiss Kiss. No VCR too! Another impromptu surprise for fans who have went to other stops? ^^

Before the last song ‘Goodbye’, he asked fans to say ‘Thank you or good bye’ too since that was the last stop of the tour although fans wanted to say ‘I love you’. He have also said that he will come back with better music to meet his fans.

The show ended but fans were reluctant to leave the hall and started chanting his name for quite a long time until securities and announcement kept on repeating telling them it’s really over and time for them to leave.

Fans who haven’t got the concert tickets were already waiting for him at the carpark standing in neat rows, joined by fans who have just came out of the concert hall. Perhaps we were all waiting at the wrong place, securities came and directed fans to where Hyun Joong’s car will really come out from. (that’s very nice, I thought ^^) I didn’t manage to send him off since I couldn’t go down the stairs anyway blocked by ‘fans’ traffic’ ^^;;

The next day sending him off at the airport. Originally had plans to take the same flight with him back to Seoul but only business and first class seats were left available that time. Big fat chances I might get to see him on plane if I have bought those tickets but nah, I’m not that rich to spend nearly $1000 on a 2-hr single-journey plane ticket. Oh and yes, that plane was full, you can easily guess why ^^

However, the flight that I have booked was lucky enough to be 10 minutes behind his flight. A crowd of fans were again waiting at the international departure gate very early. I was waiting for him at the immigration counter for about..15 minutes before he finally appeared again at around…8.30-8.40am. Took a short peek at him from far behind and it’s time for me to bid goodbye. The last peek of him. Smiley Hyun Joong, thank you for 3 months of sweet memories.

Again, peeking thru the plane window, I saw his KoreanAir plane taking off at the runway at 9.28am. Softly to myself, ‘ Goodbye FOR NOW, Hyun Joong.’

And sorry Hyun Joong. If any of my words through the translations or just my plain words I’ve said have brought hatred, negative feelings by fans towards you. I’m really sorry.
