Here’s a quote from Texas Stars head coach Derek Laxdal on the play of Radek Faksa and Matej Stansky in last night’s game in Traverse City.

Faksa centered a line with Stansky on the right wing and Remi Elie on the left wing in the 4-3 overtime win over the New York Rangers.

“I felt that was probably our strongest line from whistle to whistle, from the start of the game to the end of the game,” said Laxdal, who is coaching the Dallas prospects. “I thought Faksa was outstanding tonight, had some great backchecks on the penalty kill and was real creative five-on-five in the offensive zone. And defensively he was responsible. I thought Stransky had some great spurts. The first goal was beautiful. I saw Stransky a couple years ago in Saskatoon and it is great to see these kids take that next step at the next level. He is going to be a big part of the Dallas organization.”
