As for the latest regarding Cardinals RB Andre Ellington, underwent an MRI on Thursday, and consulted with three foot/ankle specialists and received different opinions, all agreed no surgery at this time.

His injury is called peroneus longs tendon lies behind and below the peroneus brevis tendon. It wraps down and under the foot by way of the cuboid bone. Hearing an option is wearing a boot for 2-3 weeks then strength the muscles before returning; the other not to wear a boot and play on Monday Night Football. Ellington wants to play but could be limited, they could brace the arch/foot and test him on Monday afternoon before the game.

Some concern Ellington has tear and scar tissue from a previous injury. Re-attaching the tendon by surgery after the season is an option. Ellington was limited in practice on Saturday, and is listed as questionable for Monday's game vs Chargers. Ellington was not available for comment after practice.
