Julianne Moore mentions 'Still Alice':

That excitement so far has earned Moore four Oscar nominations - Boogie Nights, The End Of The Affair, Far From Heaven and The Hours - and Maps To The Stars is undoubtedly a role that could earn her a fifth.
The same might also prove true of her forthcoming film Still Alice, based on author Lisa Genova's best seller, which sees Moore star as a linguistics professor struck by early-onset Alzheimer's.

In preparation for the role she spent time with the Alzheimer's Association, leading specialists at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and a host of support groups for women. "What is most interesting to me is that sometimes the scenes where the character is the most declined I would be doing very little, but that is what I found most exhausting," she explains of the role.
"What I realised in my observations and in talking to people who are declined is that there is a tremendous amount of effort that goes into trying to control what you can control. If you can't remember how to tie a shoe or the shoe doesn't look the same to you, it is really challenging to put it on and exhausting. Sometimes the scenes where I did the least left me feeling the most tired."
