Juniel's interview at the HIM. (translated by chicken2)
Can you tell how have u been?
-Preparing for new album. recording or other works are almost done. and i’m broadcasting some radio programs as regular besides preparing album, until several days ago, i was the panel of the show <Need more romance>. it was first time talk show what appearing with many people, but jo saeho and lady.jane carried me well so i didn't nervous at all. actually comfortable. and i’m not especially shy girl or choose expression so i did it funny.
You said you’d like to get driver’s license and go many travel, right? did u made it in your break time?
-I vaguely wanted driver’s license but after talk with mom, feel it doesn’t need for right now so i just put off it later. actually it irritated me. need to do broadcast, practicing, prepare album so it was hard to make a time too. so does travel. but i’m steady climbing well. i go bukhan mountain 3~4 days in a week. because i found some high level course like a rock climbing level. i feel boring not hard to climbing. and i got interesting at the exercise these days. i do muscle exercise for making good shape.
Is man who has good voice tone still? any added options?
-It doesn't changed yet and may never change. voice tone is still most important thing when i meet the man. um…. and these days, i got my eye on man’s shoulder narrowly. point isn't face or height but when shoulder is wide, it looks like a ‘man’ so I like it. don’t dress up, like just wearing shirt and can feel unforced but good fit……. ratio(face:body) is important thing!
You frequently said you want to communicate fans by performance but there isn’t much opportunity before. right?
-Yes. so i feel always thirsty about performance. i sing a song as live at the radio but it isn’t stage for communicate directly with audience so it makes me more desiring performance. I’d like to performance at the Hongik Univ(홍대) street but it need to consult with FNC so i cant decide alone. but someday, i will performance and practice at such like han river.
Singing, composing, performing guitar. which one is the most interesting thing?
-There’s different flavor all of them. singing, composing, performing guitar. all of them are important pieces to complete juniel’s music. so there’s no most interest thing or oppose.
someday I’d like to put my guitar performing song at the album i made. i think my skills are bit caught short to put only performing song at the album so after more practice, i will play to you.
After years, what if you are the vocal of the band u made, how will be looks like?
-I want to make a coed band with veteran senior musicians and someone kind of instructor. its hard to do that now, but i will must do it. actually i had conversations with include guitarist sinminkyu instructor and many seniors. i want to be a vocal and only girl in the band like a my favorite band ‘tokyo jihen’. or it will be fun join to one man vocal and girls performing band too.
What is the dream as a musician?
-Making a masterpiece is the one and only dream as the musician. masterpiece, it doesn't have any standard but it doesn't comes out at a moment. long time later after came out, still flow the song by broadcast and people steady listen and sing along. i think masterpiece is something like living at people’s memory. i want to do music for a long long time and make a like that masterpiece surely.
Do u have any think about the soldier in usual day?
-I feel trustworthy. and its pathetic live and doing hard job at a long distance with their family. so i pick my phone well when my soldier friend made a call to me. when he wants to talk me to his senior or junior, i said always yes and send my pictures and cd signed by me. date isn't sure but my little brother will go army soon. he is only 19(korean age 20). i cant feel he will be the soldier. i’m worrying about him if he can settle in army cause i feel he is still too young. i’m thinking about how to be his help as his sister, as singer. i can go to him visit or performing at his company. right? so i threat but not threat to brother by way of excuse. if you don't be good boy, there won’t visit!!
Have you ever performed at the army?
-I haven’t at no time for real. isn't sexy girl group the only ideal type to soldiers?! if i got chance, i want to perform can be power, and consolable music to so many soldier oppa, friends. my FNC family AOA members talked to me about happening at the army performing. go to give them power first but they got power after perform. i want to experience what feeling is by myself. if call me, juniel, i will run to you anywhere with guitar for real!
Say something to soldier fans at the all over the korea.
- These days are so hot. i want to say thank you and cheer up to soldier oppa and friend who have a rough time of hot. i will performing to your company where you stay really. and after several days, i want to say please take care my brother who can be my brother’s senior. he just looks like me. so you can recognize him at once
