asked Tommy Kelly about restructuring his contract, and he told me, “It’s a business. Coach asked me for a favor and I obliged. I didn’t have no problem with it. See, at this point in my career, I’ve made a whole lot of money. Money ain’t the problem. Everybody wants to make a good living, but I ain’t tripping about no money. And then what they changed, it ain’t nothing drastic – it’s not I gotta get 80 percent of the snaps of nothing like that. it ain’t nothing crazy. The change they made int eh contract, it can easily be attained. I played in 60 percent of the snaps last year. I expect to be out there if I prove myself." the new deal dropped his base salary but makes it possible for him to earn the money back by being on active roster for game days and through play-time incentives.
