Since @KrypticZito posted an excerpt - I'm posting a reply email that I sent him regarding streaming, getting over myself and my name - in it's entirety.

Here's the issue - if we let one team stream their MLG league matches on another platform then what's stopping every team from doing the same? That league related streaming content is what helps drive ad sales and sponsor dollars. If those opportunities were to dry up then we'd have to charge viewers to watch the content and that wouldn't go over well at all. We're investing millions of dollars into a structure that creates seasonal CoD activity so that the players and fans have events and meaningful league matches all year long. We need to protect that investment and create a scalable, sustainable infrastructure - otherwise we wouldn't be able to invest and competitive CoD might not continue to grow in the way that it has recently. Again, it's not about the money that EG would bring in on our streaming platform - it's about the larger investment and creating stability. Every sports league on the planet protects it's content for this reason. It's a core component to their value proposition.

Finally, I got over myself years ago and thanks - I think I have a cool name too.
