Kidderminster Harriers vs Birmingham City

Following a meeting yesterday with staff from Kidderminster Harriers, West Mercia Police and representatives from Birmingham City the following may be of use to Blues fans travelling tomorrow.

Kidderminster Harriers FC, Hoo Road, Kidderminster. DY10 1NB

There are 2 car parks at the ground, as you are coming up Hoo Road from the direction of the station there is one on the left just before you get to the ground, this is free on match days. The other car park is on the right hand side of the main stand just a bit further along Hoo Road, there is a charge for this car park.

Alternatively there is some street parking available, however, the ground is in a built up residential area so beware of any restrictions which may be in place.

If you are driving please bear in mind there are major roadworks on the A456 just short of the Ring Road near the Land Oak PH, the A456 is closed at this location with a diversion in place. This has caused lengthy queues and delays for the last week so give yourself half an hour extra or use an alternative route via Stourbridge or Bromsgrove.

The train station is just a short walk away from the ground with trains running regularly from Snow Hill with 4 trains an hour direct into Kidderminster.

For the return after the game trains leave at 1655, 1706, 1725 and 1736. Over 500 Blues fans are expected by train so expect them to be busy especially for the return to Birmingham.

The Harriers Arms which is built into the side of the main stand is not available to away fans.

However, on the opposite side of the ground is the Kidderminster Harriers Sports and Social Club which will be open from around midday and is available for an entry fee of £1.

West Mercia Police do not promote any pubs solely for the use of home or away fans; however, most of the pubs will have door staff on duty. There are plenty of pubs within a short walk of the station and the ground.

No alcohol is on sale inside the ground, this is nothing to do with tomorrow’s fixture, the club do not have bars in the concourse and have never served alcohol. Other refreshments will be available.

Birmingham City are providing a number of stewards to assist @khfcofficial tomorrow.

All the turnstiles will be open to the two stands Blues fans will be in; however, the terracing is sold out so please give yourself sufficient time to get inside the ground.

The match is strictly all ticket for both sets of supporters with no tickets on sale on the day. Blues are selling tickets up until 4pm today. Blues had sold in the region of 2200 yesterday afternoon, so around 700 are still available.
