Shola in shock move to Sunderland?
Reports have emerged today linking recently released Newcastle forward Shola Ameobi with a move to arch-rivals Sunderland, in a reverse of the move which saw out of contract Jack Colback head to the SDA. Shola is reportedly sought after by Hull City as well as a host of foreign clubs, however is thought to be considering Sunderland as he doesn't want to have to up-sticks from his beloved Fenham. Manager Gus Poyet is thought to have been impressed with Shola after seeing him in Nigeria's 0-0 draw with Iran whilst working for ITV and needs to boost his attacking options with Altidore out and Scocco on the move.
