TA privacy
Many of you may realize that a number of people have been banned from this site recently for a variety of incredibly minor incidents -- most of which occur regularly and in a much more abrasive fashion every single day.

What you may not know is how much Touch Arcade's mods can and have done to members.

Did you know that in a mod forum Red1 stalked awp69 on Google and, presumably using awp's personal information (his real name - not his TA user name) to find information about him? Did you know that his PERSONAL Facebook page was linked to in a moderator forum and mods, including CygnetSeven, proceeded to mock his personal information? And that there are all kinds of personal attacks on members of this forum, even by Eli Hodapp, calling people banned "sh*theads" for example? There is evidence that mods also look at Private Messages as well.

Do you feel comfortable that this could happen to any forum member? Is it right that the mods can invade your privacy and go completely unpunished?

Meanwhile awp69 gets permanently banned for raising these privacy issues. And mods responsible for privacy invasions are left with no repercussions. Anyone who is a "whistleblower" also gets punished.

TA does not want you to know how the mods act like bullies who can do whatever they want at member expense.

Seek out the many other iOS gaming forums where these kinds of things do not occur. Why would you want personal information distributed? If mods are okay with using personal information, what's stopping them from using things like passwords to try to access more serious personal or even financial data.

Regardless of how awp69's information was obtained, knowing that privacy is not a concern to TA (since he has been banned while those violating his privacy go unpunished), do you really feel comfortable continuing to be a member here?

Many senior members whose posts were invaluable to the community have already left on their own. Others have expressed disgust and feeling uncomfortable with what has been occurring behind the scenes.

I will keep posting threads on an occasional basis via mobile and other devices to avoid IP address detection until these situations are rectified.
