My conversation with Roy Hibbert ... on the final play with LeBron:
“I asked him straight up right before the play. I was like, ‘You gonna pass to Bosh?” And he said if I’m in the paint he will. We were just joking around. I thought he was going to the basket and I tried to help my teammate out and those guys covered for me.”
Were you surprised LeBron passed it?
“In my mind, I was like, ‘Maybe they might go for the win with the three.’ He’s the best player in the world so you got to honor both.”
You previously talked about being able to tell what LeBron would do based on his body language, so what did you read before this play?
“He was going to attack and finish in the paint. And I think he had a little bit of edge … so I just wanted to go over there and help and I think GHill got my back and contested the three."
