CNBLUE “With Your Eyes” Wakes Up Friday
On Friday, May 2nd, CNBLUE’s song “With Your Eyes” got a brief airplay on US morning news. The song was inserted at the end of a tease in WPSD-TV’s 4:30 am newscast. After previewing a story about a college pride day and the latest Spiderman movie, the anchor introduced the track as “With Your Eyes” by CNBLUE.“It was Friday morning and I needed an energizing song,” said the producer of the newscast. “The anchor didn’t read it but the tease about the Spiderman movie actually finished with ‘a preview of your visual entertainment.’ So when thinking about seeing something, ‘With Your Eyes’ came to my head.”
“With Your Eyes” is a featured track from CNBLUE’s 2013 Japanese single “Blind Love.” Along with the title song “Blind Love,” it was written and produced by member Lee Jonghyun. Just like you’d need to watch a movie with your eyes, the song’s chorus sings “With your eyes, look with your eyes.”
“It was an ideal time for it too,” said the producer. Lee Jonghyun’s birthday is May 15th.
WPSD-TV is an NBC-affiliated television station that broadcasts across four midwestern states: Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, and Tennessee.
