Elennárë is content with her life.

When she first found her way out of the Deep Fire it was a mix of relief and hope, but as she wandered the Deeps, her hope slowly eroded. When she started coming across orcs she started to feel fear, for while she could easily turn her fire on any orcs that realised she was something more than a normal stone (orcs may be rather dumb as a whole but every so often a smart one *did* crop up) and decided to captur her... well it had worried her inordinently.

Then Men came to the caves she was stuck trying to avoid orcs in. With them came also Kizár, her other self, who soothed her, assured her, and put her in the care of Kélan.

Kélan was the main reason she was content now. He was her protector, her brother, her friend. The fear of being taken captive faded as she became used to being in the care of someone who could listen, someone who was kind to her. She had missed that, so much she had, at times, even wished for Ravenér if it meant she would have someone to talk to (then again, even as Dark as he turned, Ravenér was still 'Uncle', so it was not like she was wishing for someone like Elu Thingol).

Kélan however had another care that drew his attention - Boromir, Captain of the United Kingdom's armies. Elennárë understood that Boromir had helped free Kélan from slavery, but she also had a few small snippets of information that gave her a different perspective on the somewhat awkward relationship that formed between them. Kizár had held back a lot of her recent memories, not wanting to offer Elennárë empty hopes, but Elennárë had picked up the fact that Kíli, son of Thorin (though most would not know that fact in this life, still believing him to be the son of Dári), the dwarf Kélan once was, was destined soulmate to Boromir the Second, son of Denethor.

Between knowing that and knowing Kélan's feelings on a very personal level, Elennárë elected to keep a careful watch on Boromir, especially in battle. She would do whatever she could to keep him at Kélan's side.

It was good fortune that she did take up that habit, for in the snowy battles on the Eastern front, Kélan might not have reached Boromir in time if she had not been aware somethign was dreadfully wrong with him. Even then, she actively reached out to him to hold his spirit in the living world, and encourage his body to not give up yet.

Elennárë likes to think her aid helped quite a bit.

In the weeks since, Boromir has healed, and the relationship between he and Kélan had altered. No longer did he treat it as merely 'comfort', but had started to open his heart to Kélan. It makes Elennárë happy because she knows it makes Kélan happy, and that is important to her - that her two boys are happy.

She sits in her favourite spot, by the window, carefully not paying attention to intimate goings-on, instead watching the stars, particularly one bright one. It comforts her in a small way that she has a view of Eärendil's nightly voyage for the better part of five hours each night, it means that as distant as she may be, Elennárë can watch her sister Lossanárë.

Elennárë misses her sisters, both Lossanárë and Elenlossë, she misses her brothers, particularly Russandol who was her closest friend of all of them, but here and now she is content knowing she has Kélan and Boromir.
