BIG EAST CHAMP GAME SETS FOX SPORTS 1 RECORD; PAC-12 & NASCAR ALSO SCORE BIG
Providence’s 65-58 victory over Creighton in the BIG EAST Men’s Basketball Tournament Championship Game delivered 702,000 viewers on FOX Sports 1 Saturday night (3/15), making it the most-watched college basketball game on the network since launch. The Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament Championship Game on Saturday (3/15), which preceded the BIG EAST game and saw UCLA beat Arizona 75-71, scored 680,000 viewers, making it the second-most watched college basketball game in FOX Sports 1 history. FOX Sports 1’s biggest college basketball audience coming in to last weekend was Michigan State-Georgetown on Saturday, Feb. 1 (539,000 viewers).

Bristol’s rain was FOX Sports 1’s gain as the extensive delays in Sunday’s Sprint Cup race forced the event’s conclusion from FOX to FOX Sports 1 at 7:05 PM ET. The Sprint Cup race itself averaged 3,227,000 viewers from 7:05 PM-9:30 PM ET, making it the second-most watched telecast in FOX Sports 1 history behind last month’s Sprint Unlimited NASCAR event (3,526,000 viewers). FOX Sports 1 was the second most-watched network in ad supported cable in the Sunday 7:00-9:30 PM ET time period with 3,146,000 viewers behind only AMC (3,960,000). NASCAR coverage from Bristol drove the network to its fourth-most watched day from 6:00 AM-3:00 AM ET since launch with an average of 570,000 viewers.

UFC PRELIMS ON FOX SPORTS 2 SET MARK FOR NET
Saturday night’s UFC 171 Prelims attracted 305,000 viewers to FOX Sports 2, a new record for the channel. The prior record was 257,000 viewers for the Arsenal-Liverpool FA Cup match on Feb. 16.
