@Becca_DP , Oh, we'll here's the original part of the article which I think makes sense.

There seems to be a moral undertone when women are concerned that doesn’t happen with men, and that’s what that song is about. Stop this now [laughs]. Feminism. I hate that word because it shouldn’t even be a thing any more. We’re all equal, everyone is equal so why is there even a conversation about feminism? What’s the man version of feminism? There isn’t even a word for it. There’s no reason for it. Menanism. Male-ism. It doesn’t exist.

(journalist) : Not yet.....

Fast-forward 100 years: “Yes, I do believe men should be treated equally.”

And here's what it turns into with your 'critiquing'

<That's nice, Lily. Weird that you're the darling of so many liberal media feminists, who rushed to your defence when your music video was a bit fucking iffy, but never mind.>

We’re all equal, everyone is equal

< NO, we're not all equal. >

so why is there even a conversation about feminism?

<See above>
(where you didn't even let me finish my sentence)
<we are not all equal.>

What’s the man version of feminism? There isn’t even a word for it. There’s no reason for it. Menanism. Male-ism. It doesn’t
Actually, it does.

< It's called Men's Rights Activism and it is a fucking terrifying world of misogyny, rape apologism and a hearty amount of racism to boot.>

(Well , that's three words, but ok)

Not yet.

(It was suggested to me that we are on a journey where feminism is concerned, and to imagine the inconceivable, that in 100 years time things will have shifted so much that men will be fighting for equal rights in the same way that women have to do today)

Fast-forward 100 years: “Yes, I do believe men should be treated equally.”

<Men should be treated equally. They should be treated equally to how women are treated. Then they might fucking change things because they realise how fucking horrible it is for women to deal with sexism on a daily basis.>

(It's quite clear that my point was lost on you because, we clearly have the same feelings where sexism is concerned.)

So Becca_DP maybe next time you do a bit of girl on girl critiquing in the name if feminism, maybe some fact checking wouldn't go amiss. Just, to check you've understood things correctly, rather than making assumptions.
