During the time, Taemin debuted first and only Kai alone left, many asked him questions, asked didn't he felt jealous that Taemin debuted first even though they're same age or asked him doesn't he feel competitive over it. Just like he always and first said again, he's in the position of learning (from Taemin) so Kai thinks of course he still isn't able to debut.
