Letter to my fans and friends:

Thank you so much everyone for the love and support throughout this journey. If you didn't see, throughout all of Hollywood Week I stayed true to myself like my brother Alfred told me to do before my family and I lost his amazing soul to injustice. Also, if you didn't know I was one of the only people throughout Hollywood Week to do original music the WHOLE time, and I don't regret one minute of it.

Artistry is defined as "the creative skill of an artist, writer, actor, or musician." And I can say that with a head held high and proudly, that I was an artist the whole time there. Every time I went on stage I was confident in myself and happy at the choices I made. I don't regret practicing and perfecting my craft for 8 years, because I know that in doing that it made me the person I am today. An ORIGINAL. I know what the victory of success is. It's putting out more than what is expected in all that you do. Making yourself so valuable in your work that eventually you will become indispensable. It's exercising your privilege to go the extra mile, and then you can enjoy all the rewards you receive. So, there is no question that music is what God placed on my heart to do, and I promise to always have The Lord on my side as I stay on this path.

I just ask that everyone stay with me on this journey, because American Idol does not determine the greatness that God has placed over my life. This is far from the end, and not even the beginning of what God has in store for me. Thank you again for the support and encouragement. There have been plenty who have auditioned for Idol and made it without them: Amber Riley (GLEE), Colbie Caillat (GRAMMY Award winner), Hillary Scott (of Lady Antebellum) [5 Time GRAMMY Award Winner], and Tori Kelly (YouTube Sensation). You have to remember this a "Reality TV Show" first and EDITING plays a big part in it. It's time for me to do what God made me to do: make music. #inspiration #motivation #dedication
