As the only Dutch representation NSMBL got the chance to talk to Kristen Stewart about her newest collaboration and her personal favorites, something we can hardly say no to. We were allowed to ask the beautiful actress, who recently became the face of Balenciaga's new scent 'Rosabotanica', several questions. Kristen is starting to like and find the fashion industry more and more interesting and she's very proud of her new campaign. Curious about what went on behind the scenes of the production, which products Kristen prefers using and what she thinks about being in the spotlights constantly? You can read about it here.

Q: How does it feel to be chosen as the face of an iconic brand like Balenciaga for their new perfume Rosabotanica?

A: It's incredible. I immediately took the opportunity to work with Nicola Formichetti, who I met during a photoshoot when I was very young and he was the one who showed me how unique and creative fashion can be. When he called me for this project I was very excited. It's really cool because I usually make films and this isn't necessarily my area. This way I could combine the two and get the best of both worlds.

Q: In what way does the perfume fit your personality?
A: I genuinely like the scent, I've used Florabotanica (the predecessor of Rosabotanice -red.) for a while now. I never used to wear perfume but with this scent I've discovered that it can complete your look. I like wearing Florabotanice in the morning, it's more light and natural. Rosabotanica is similar but it's a little more daring, stronger and therefore ideal for wearing it at night, to a dinner or a party for example.

Q: Have you ever commited a beauty or fashion error, for example by following a trend or wearing something you no longer support?
A: When I just started out in the world of red carpets and events I was very young, when I look back at what I wore then of course I think 'what was I thinking' but at the time I really liked it. When I was a kid I had absolutely no idea of what was cute or not. I dressed like a boy which made me look a lot like my brother.

Q: What are your favorite beauty products that you use regularly?
A: A Good moisturizer is important, I'm a fan of Dermalogica and Dr Hauschka but I also use Proactiv. I also love dry shampoo and hair powder to give it volume. It's not healthy to wash your hair a lot. It's actually just important to stay healthy. Plenty of exercise, eating well and every now and then a green juice for an energy boost. Other than that I don't use too much make up, at most a tinted moisturizer because it's better for your skin than foundation.

Q: What is the last thing you bought that made you excited?
A: A good pair of sneakers. I usually don't get too excited about buying beauty products. I get more excited about buying a nice jacket or shoes.

Q: How does it feel to be both a beauty and fashion icon?
A: Fortunately it all went very natural, it's not really something I think about on a day to day basis. I realize how special it is that I sometimes get to borrow the most beautiful dresses for an event and that I meet very creative and interesting people. Some of these people don't even realize how cool they are, there are people who can walk into a room and light up the place with their energy. It's a privilige to work with these kind of people and to be a part of this industry.

Q: Isn't it a little scary sometimes to know that whole world watches you and judges what you wear and do?

A: Obviously you can't please everyone, that's something I've learned. My goal is to consciously not please everyone. If that's something you aim for in life it can be very scary, you can't possibly please everyone. As long as you make your decisions and do the things you do because you feel good doing it, there will be always people who agree and disagree with you. It doesn't really matter. Because at the end of the day, who really gives a shit what dress I'm wearing?
