An article titled – Kejriwal in course to ruin 2014 for BJP’ – which appeared on the edit page on Friday, December 13, 2013 was not written by former law minister Mr Shanti Bhushan, as has appeared in the edition.

WE deeply regret publishing Mr Bhushan’s purported article on the edit page.

Mail Today has ascertained that the e mail article was generated from a fake account which had nothing to do with Mr Bhushan. It is clear that Mail Today has been duped in the process.

Mail Today is initiating all possible legal action so as to bring to light any conspiracy involved in the said matter which has put Mr Bhushan and Mail Today in an embarrassing spot.

We sincerely apologise to Mr Shanti Bhushan and our readers for any difficulty cause to Mr Bhushan by publishing this article.

At no point in time did Mail Today have any malafide intent or modicum of malice to damage Mr Bhushan’s fine and upstanding reputation.

We are in parallel filing a FIR and are taking legal action to ascertain the identity and the motives of the miscreant behind this.
