Interesting explanation for Doom Da Da (don't TL:DR me biatch)
~Admin Turtle

Here's the explanation that I saw from a blog:

The MV starts off with a bunch of pre-man apes who find a microphone. The lyrics during this part are:
"I’m Getting restless
All you kids go to the corners
I’m the Sommelier who changes your tastes
When I’m hot, try cooling me with your breath, when I’m giving it to you, say thank you and bow hooray!"
So essentially he is calling these apes who find the microphone little kids with terrible taste. The apes represent all the other rappers on the mic who just "pick up and find a mic" and thoughtlessly create music. TOP is the one with the real taste in Music, hence why he says he is the "Sommelier" who changes tastes.
The next line:
"You, with the hidden talent
Have you witnessed my finishing move?
The weak ear drum of your sleeping soul
I poke with a thorn, it’ll start to burn
You, with the hidden talent
I poke with a thorn, it’ll start to burn
Oh God God God God
I’m a Shower that washes the ear drums"
During this part of the MV one of his eyes is covered, and the previous part he has an eye patch.
He mentions the people with "hidden talent" as a dig at fans who think people like Zico, and Rap Mon are actually talented at all. How their "weak ear drum" is unable to hear/create good music. TOP is the shower that will wash these untalented bastards from the scene and teach them what real talent and rapping is.
The MV is essentially him doing nothing, yet killing them hence the whole "ill make you burn" stuff. The eye patch is like the line "i could beat you with one hand tied behind my back" except in this case he uses 1 eye to represent how he doesn't even need to try. The black "pool" of people is the rap game, and all the wannabe rappers who think they know shit. TOP stands out on the background of those rappers and they are unable to consume/beat him because he is God. God of Rap.
After that the monkey wakes up saying "god god god" realizing how superior TOP is to them.
He then is on a Zebra because why the fuck not. This has nothing to do with anything, and represents how FUCKING AWESOME TOP is.
The next line:
"You unstoppable hot souls
Let us all dance together in that vast field
You unstoppable hot souls"
This next line correlates with the MV where there are skeletons and TOP is running with them. The skeletons are merely shells of TOP, and TOP is superior to them and a full man. You can say the Zebra is like the old spice commercials where TOP is "pretending to be a real man" like in the commercials to show how much better he is than the other rappers.
"I’m a spectacular 21st century Korean guy
Holding the MIC, a god blessed Rap “Basquiat”
I’m warming up my mouth for the first time in a while, I’ll be done in just one song
I’ll make you go crazy but I’m like a clear pinot noir"
The next part is very obvious, but the MV he represents a very simplistic style. He is refined. He brings in Pinot Noir (a type of wine) to bring back that like how he was a "Sommelier who changes tastes" (a sommelier is like a wine taster who is a master of taste of wine). He says I will make you go crazy before the pinot noir, and the MV shifts to him essentially mimicking Salvador Dali's style of dress. This shows how TOP shifts tastes in music because of his pure mastery of the genre, essentially doing what Dali did for art.
From here on out he goes into a very crazy style, contrasting the refine style before. Before he was a refined Wine, but now he is a crazy flavorful wine, essentially, a Pinot Noir. The entire MV is filmed with a Noir style as well, which again shows the Pinot Noir has more meaning to it than just being a simple wine.
Next line:
"Wouldn’t care even if I made your bones melt, let’s see the end to this craziness
All like that, like this, let’s see a new world again
Complicated world, loud noises put them all into the ammunition and Bang bang bang!
Breath to catch your breath DOOM DA DA DIVI DA:
Talking about how the world is crazy, how he will create a new world of music, every other rappers voice is nothing but "loud noises" and they are ammunition for a gun. However, you can infer that the "Bang bang bang" represents how Big Bang completely destroyed any rappers and still to this day does. Essentially the sound (or music) of "bang bang bang" washes away the sound of these wannabe rappers.
Next line:
"ABCEDFG
HIJKLMNOPQR-SKY is protecting us
I feel like I’m looking and listening at the top of the universe, I’m a fearless dreamer
Run away, I won’t run away
You are all on fire
God God God God-
I’m a shower that washes your ear drums"
The next part is pretty straight forward, but he devolves into a sort of Dali style of insanity essentially attacking the other rappers both in lyrics and tone of his rap. This mixes with the fact he mentions he essentially blows up other rappers and "shoots" them like before. He also repeats the "God God God God" line which i will cover later. He brings up the universe which ties into this whole god stuff.
During the bridge and chorus essentially if you look closely on the motor cycle the baby is grabbing tops shirt, so he smacks its hand. Showing how the "other rappers" represented by the baby are just trying to "hang on for the ride" that top is controlling. He is the real one in control, and he barely bats an eye at the foolish other rappers grabbing for attention. Another important point is when top is in the passenger seat being driven by the baby he yawns to show how boring the other rappers are. However, if you notice, TOP's hand is STILL ON THE STEERING WHEEL meaning he is the one who is actually keeping the motor cycle (representing the music) steady because the other rappers can't control it.
Also during this chorus you begin to see the slaves. TOP is leading these slaves, which I will get back to later.
Next line:
"Mass media, calm down and take in the new idea
DOOM DADA DIVI DA I’m looking at the third world through meditation
Humanity’s power that was given by god
The Fancier culture Wins"
Next he is seen leading the baby (the other rappers) through a mysterious forest. He then brings up mass media, which begins his attack on the "cause" of all these 2 bit shit rappers. Essentially the idol culture and how companies shit out crappy rappers without teaching or training them. They remove any sense of identity.
When he mentions "humanities power that was given by god" he refers to Free Will. The "power" of human kind in philosophy has ALWAYS been the fact humans have free will. Idol culture REMOVES that free will, and he blames this removal of free will on the shitty rappers, not the rappers themselves. He mentions given by god in the literal sense, but also how "TOP is giving it back."
"DOOM DADA DIVI DA let the green light shine upon a new life
Go around around around and around, in the wrong direction go around
People with only their mouths that come to life, whose voices go around
Drive drive drive and drive, ignition, cloud of smoke
The overheated Media is driving the people
Hakunamatata Hakunamatata
DOOM DADA DIVI DA let the green light shine upon a new life"
Rappers are going around and around in the wrong direction, only using their mouths not their brains. They aren't driving that metaphorical motorcycle, instead they are being driven by mass media and their companies who control the car for them.
At this point we see the monkey smash with a bone, then a mic, then he blends with TOP. Showing how TOP essentially broke free from the media control/company control on his to create whatever he wanted.
Now. Time for the real killer of it all. Doom Dada Divi Da. Doom-Destruction, end of the world. Dada-Dada-ism the movement was a protest against the bourgeois nationalist and colonialist interests, which many Dadaists believed were the root cause of the war, and against the cultural and intellectual conformity—in art and more broadly in society—that corresponded to the war. Divi-The latin for "God."
It breaks down simply. At this point in the MV we see a mushroom cloud, a cloud representing war, and the control of mass media. TOP is trying to promote a Dada mindsent to remove the control of media on korean music culture, to allow freedom of the arts to flourish rather than the idol culture. Divi is God, showing how God gave free will to man, and TOP is not just the GOD that will return it but that people need to not fear these companies and follow the path God set for them.
Before the final chorus, he mentions Hakuna Matata (WHICH MEANS NO WORRIESSSSS FOR THE REST OF YOUR DAAYYYSSSSS) and as the famous song goes, he essentially is trying to say what the song says. No worries for the rest of your days. Break free from the control of society and media and have your own style, your own voice.
Also, the overall concept is man evolving from apes into humans. Then destroying themselves with the bomb. That plays with his concept of music being taken apart by mass media, but also shows his ideas on war and humanity, something Dali spoke about. Essentially TOP agrees with Dali's opinions. The skeletons earlier can be seen as a precursor to the death of man as well.
Best. Fucking. Song. Ever. TOP is absolute Genius. This man is fucking a master of rap and art. He has reached a level on that of Dali. Mother fucking shit this man is insane. Well fucking done TOP. Well FUCKING done you goddamn sexy fucking genius son of a bitch. claps beautiful.

THIS IS WHY I LOVE T.O.P HE'S ONE OF A KIND. HE'S UNIQUE. ♥
