Storyful is accepting applications for internships beginning in December 2013. Interns will be placed with Storyful's News and Content divisions in Dublin. The period of internship is six months.
Interns spend the first month training on Storyful workflows, standards, public news-gathering tools and Storyful's proprietary technology. Documentation, tutorials and direct support are provided during this period and the practices are applied to Storyful's daily agenda.
Once training is completed, interns work directly with Storyful's News and Content teams (again, with supervision and support). Interns will be responsible for news-gathering, content discovery, verification, outreach and publishing stories that are delivered to Storyful's news partners.
Storyful's work environment is open and collaborative: Interns are provided with regular feedback and are encouraged to provide Storyful line managers with feedback and suggestions to improve processes.
This programme of training and experience is unique to Storyful and equips journalists with a transferable skill-set valued by all newsrooms.
