English translation of the new 'Islamic Coalition' statement:
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
[Islamic greeting and introductory phrase]
Statement No. 1
Regarding the Coalition and the Supposed Government
The mujahid military forces and factions came together to sign this statement; they held discussions and arrived at the following:
1 – These forces and factions call on all military and civilian fronts to unite within a clear, Islamic framework that stems from the inherent power of Islam; it shall be founded on the principle of instating shariah law and making it the only source of legislation.
2 – These forces view those who live by their interests and those who share in the sacrifices made by our righteous children to hold legitimacy in representing them.
3 – These forces consider all formations established abroad incapable of returning within [Syria]; these formations do not represent these forces, and these forces do not recognize them.
Therefore, the coalition and the supposed government headed by Ahmed Ta'amah do not represent [these forces]; in turn, [these forces] do not recognize [the coalition and supposed government].
4 – These forces and factions call on all military and civilian fronts to unify their ranks and rhetoric, to end the discrimination and disagreement, and to make the collective give priority to the interests of the ummah.
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
