What an unforgettable day & night in #Korce #Albania... one the most artistic hotels I've ever stayed at, quality time with the Mayor, tasting delicious Korce beers with the head of the company and headlining the 5th and final night of the festival... we played for 2 hours to a beautiful loving crowd of thousands, once again with an incredible band and one of the best singers I've ever made music with - the talent in Albania is some of the best in the world.

I've been made an Honorary Citizen of Korce, was awarded this on stage tonight by the Mayor & the festival, it was truly humbling. I feel like I need to live up to the highest standard possible if I'm going to be worthy of such an honor. The Mayor & I spoke about making a new international festival in Albania, and I gave my word that I would do my part to help make it happen.

After the show, 4 well-meaning policemen tried to take me away from the mobbing crowd wanting photos & autographs and were trying to get me to leave and into the van. I had to shake them off me and refused to go, and we set up an area where I could take photos with everyone. The police did their best to keep it orderly, but there was a lot of excitement in the air and it was hard to contain.

4am, back at the hotel... after all that the silence seems so much more silent, and the alone-ness seems so much more alone... gotta wake up in 5 hours to give a masterclass at 11am here in Korce, going to enjoy it Then we drive to #Tirana, and I hop on a plane in the middle of the night to #Tunisia... looking forward to my return to Albania, we have a lot to do together
