Attention fans of @adamlambert & @planetjedward! As many of you know, I am a presenter on Australia's LGBTIQ radio station, @JOY949. I am also a big fan of both Adam Lambert & Jedward. You guys know that JOY is a big supporter of both Adam and Jedward, and one of the very few stations in Australia to regularly play their music. For a bit of fun this year I'm asking you guys to support JOY in return. Here's how!
JOY is a self-funded community radio station that relies for its survival on memberships, donations and a small amount of on-air sponsorship. We are currently running our annual radiothon, which is when a lot of much-needed money is raised for the station. Starting at the time of publication of this tweet, I'm challenging the awesome and passionate Lambert & Jedward fandoms to a contest to see who can raise more money for JOY up until 4pm Friday Melbourne time (see link below for world times).
Tomorrow during my weekly 3-hour radio show I will play 3 Jedward tracks & 3 Lambert tracks and I'll talk a lot on air about both artists and their fans. The reward for the winning fandom will be a 1-hour special on JOY sometime very soon (date tbc). We will make a calculation just before the end of my show and announce the winner.
