FLASHBACK: Sandra Arias was helping #jodiarias plan her escape from police. Was she manipulated by JA from the beginning or is she just a mom in denial?

We know from police interrogation videos that Jodi Arias’ mom, Sandra Arias, thought she and Jodi had the "best relationship of their lives" in the weeks following Travis’ murder. We also know that she thought Jodi had mental problems and was capable of killing Travis. So why in the world is she continuing to support Jodi's innocence, even now that she's admitted to the killing? Maybe, like Casey Anthony's mom, she believes her daughter's mental illness led her to do the unspeakable, but deserves help, not jail time. I think this is partly true, but in my opinion, she is being used as a pawn, just like everyone else in Jodi's life.

Little did Susan Arias know that Jodi was only manipulating her and the family in the weeks after she killed Travis. She quickly realized she was suspect #1 and needed allies who would protect her if she got caught. In my opinion, Jodi was successful in doing so. After all, it’s my opinion Sandra Arias helped Jodi plan and stage her getaway before she was ultimately handcuffed. Take a look at how the events leading to her arrest went down.

July 14, 2008

Mesa detectives flew to Yreka, CA to arrest Jodi Arias for 1st degree murder.

9 PM - Detectives arrive at the home of Arias' grandparents, where she was still living. Visual surveillance showed Arias was packing clothes and boxes as if she was leaving. They were concerned she was going to flee, so they stayed outside the home.

9:45 PM - Arias was observed inside a vehicle parked in front of the residence talking with someone who appeared to be her mother for a long while. Arias' mother later drove away while Arias then went back into her grandparents' home.

Midnight - Officers left the home to return in the early morning hours. A decision was made to arrest Arias if she attempted to flee.

July 15, 2008

6:30 AM - Surveillance team set up again at grandparents' home. Shortly thereafter, police notice a Chevy Cobalt parked in front of the home, which was later determined to be a rental car.

9:39 AM - Arias seen loading the car and subsequently taken into custody.

9:40 AM - A search warrant of grandparents' home excecuted. Evidence in her bedroom indicated that Arias had purchased a High Point 9mm.

1:15 PM - A search warrant executed at the home of Arias' parents. Box of .25 caliber ammunition was found during search. .25 caliber ammo was NOT found at grandparents' home, even though ammunition for a .25 caliber was photographed by police while investigating the burglary.

2:25 PM - Search warrant on the Chevy Cobalt executed. Arias' luggage and personal effects had been placed inside the vehicle. A box of 9 mm ammunition was found inside a suitcase containing Arias' clothing. No firearm was found. Two knives found inside boxes of books in the car.

August 2008

- Arias' mother asked about a High Point 9mm that she said her daughter had hidden in a vehicle. It was Sandra Arias that was inquiring about the gun, so her mother obviously knew that information. At that point, it wasn’t even on the police’s radar.

- A Hertz employee recovers a 9mm gun while servicing the vehicle in San Francisco, CA. It was the vehicle that Arias had rented in Yreka, CA.

According to police interviews, Jodi told her parents she was going to leave the area because “she might be blamed for something” she couldn’t tell them about. In my opinion, she is essentially telling them at that point that she is about to go on the run. Why Sandra Arias hasn’t been charged with some kind of obstruction is beyond me, but the unshakable truth is that Jodi Arias has manipulated her mom Sandra, her aunt Sue and her grandmother Caroline into hiding, creating and tampering with evidence….all under the guise of Domestic Violence or in the pursuit of a Pay Day!

I'm voting for the latter...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. In fact, I'm offended they are allowed to wear those purple bracelets supporting DV victims while TA's family was asked to remove their blue ribbon support. Anyone else with me?
