Here we are. The last event post I'll ever create and post for Fluid. I've put off writing a full out thought on Fluid closing. Not because i didn't want to do it but because I although I knew it was coming, it still wasn't here.. Well, now it's here. And it's hitting me that Fluid will be gone.. It's been a long time. Alot of memories. Some of you weren't even out of high school for some of these memories. And some of you have been around forever. We started Tastytreats in 2001 at a little place called Filo's. Myself, Questlove and Yameen Allworld set out to host a great Saturday night party and we truly have done just that. in 2002 we outgrew Filo's and were offered Saturday nights at Fluid. Oronde was at Filo's and experienced the packed out place and offered us the move. When we moved, we brought in Dj Mike Nyce to spin along with Questlove and other special guest Dj's. For the past 12 years, we've done what most parties don't get to do. And we're proud of that. This April marks Tastytreats official 12 year anniversary! 12 years y'all! We've had so so many memorable nights. I mean really, some legendary things have gone down at Tastytreats... At Fluid... It's sad to see it go. But 16 years is longer than most venues ever get to live. I'm really happy to have been part of that history along with all of the other dope promoters and Dj's that have kept Fluid alive all of these years. Tastytreats isn't ending, just finding a new home........

I want to thank everyone that has ever spun with us in the past 12 years.. You all contributed to the success of Tastytreats and kept true to what our party is about - spinning great music and keeping the dance floor rocking and are considered fam too all of us at Tastytreats/Fluid. And you all did that and much more! I hope you take these last few weeks to come and get it in with us under the cavernous, blue tiled walls known as Fluid one last time! We love you all for rocking with us and holding us down these 12 years and for supporting Fluid for the past 16 years. We're all a part of Philly history! Here's to the memories!!! XO
