What does Adventure Quest mean to me? With an emoticon, :). Among other things, smiles; many many smiles. From those smiles come other words- "I would put them back in poetry, if I only knew how."

You see, I've been playing Adventure Quest for several years now, starting as a young teen up until today as an adult. The first thing that grabbed me when I got into this game was the story. I came in at the end of the Carnax Saga, and soon after there was the Future War(I kept the mecha for ages) and then I began to explore the other areas of the game. The next thing I grew to love was the sense of humor. I inherited a shameless knack for puns from my father, and here those puns were, popping up all over in this new game I found. So with the great stories and awful puns, I really began to look forward to playing. Before I became a Guardian, I used to wait dozens of minutes and occasionally an hour to play.

So one year for my birthday, I got a Guardianship as a present. I got drawn in even deeper as the Epic Quest and the sprawling Devourer Saga unfolded. Today the Devourer Saga is still my favorite story in the game, and it's where I first began to see through the player character's eyes.

One day I found the forums. There were games, contests, polls, and some really nice people, some of whom are still around today. I stumbled upon the Suggestions forum, and this really got me thinking. I started coming up with weapons, armors and other things- so another thing Adventure Quest is to me is an inspiration. Recently I've taken to writing war stories and submitting them to the forums. Today, after being with my character Uskius for so long, I find myself reacting to a lot of in-game events the way the PC does. So, I write my war stories in first person... and in writing over 350,000(yes, really) words of fan fiction for other works, writing in first person is something I have done exactly twice.

Today in the game, there is some much to do and see. The weekly updates are a highlight of my week now.
