What AQ means to Me.

When I was young I just started out in the roleplaying game genre and played many games that had the simple turn based mechanics. I always wondered if there was a rpg on the web and I searched, but couldn't find any ones that had given me the flair that regular rpgs had to them. One day I came across an ad banner on the newgrounds site with the old guardian model running with a girl guardian and there flashed a dragon. I was skeptical of this ad, but I went ahead and checked it out and my god as soon as I registered, it was a new world to me in the realm of rpgs. AQ had nostalgic moments with parody's like Leeroy Jenkins and interesting holiday events. I still remember the Witcher event from awhile back and it was so fun to play.

After some years, I quit AQ for awhile, but I have to say it left an impression of me to create my own rpg game. I've started out with a program called "RPG Maker" and of course tried creating my own game. After that though I had problems with story and dialog with the characters, but if I had problems with the writing I would refer back to AQ. From the Carnax saga to Devourer to the Seekrat saga, each and every chapter made me want to start writing again for my game design project. To what AQ means to me is an inspiration to my rpgs and though they can't be as fun or nostalgic as AQ, the storyline in the game's universe has always left an impression on me to give my audience a storyline that they can never forget.
