TRANSLATION & TRANSCRIPT: 'Message to the Kenyan Public' by the Amir of HSM, Sheikh Abu Zubeyr (May Allah Protect Him)

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

21 Rabi' Al-Akhar 1434 - (03/03/2013)

All praise is due to Allah alone and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. As for what follows: this is a message to the Kenyan Public

Allah, the Exalted, says in the Holy Qur’an: ‘Verily those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (men) from the path of Allah, and so they will continue to spend it; but in the end it will become an anguish for them. And those who disbelieve will be gathered unto hell’ [Al-Anfal, 36]

The Kenyan government has invaded the Islamic Administrations that are neighbouring the North Eastern regions, while it’s a well known fact that, at the time of the invasion, the Islamic Administrations were leading the way in the fields of security and economic growth, so much so that a positive impact was felt in many regions even inside the Kenyan territory. Robbery had diminished significantly, the flow of businesses between regions increased and the huge influx of refugees into Kenya saw a dramatic decline. Not only that but many of the refugees have even returned back to the Islamic Administrations so as to rejoice in life under the Islamic Shari’ah whilst living in safety and leading a dignified life.

All that, however, was brought to an abrupt end by the Kenyan invasion of the Islamic Administrations of Somalia. In Kenya, the invasion has adversely resulted in a persistent lack of security, decline in the economy, high unemployment rates and deteriorating public services for the general Kenyan public, since most of the finances were transferred into the military coffers. All these problems have surfaced at a time when the war is still in its preliminary stages and what awaits you is far greater than what has transpired.

With the Kenyan military’s invasion of the Islamic Administrations, the history of Kenya and life of its citizens has entered a new phase. And as you are now headed towards the elections, the type of leaders that you choose and the political decisions they adopt will determine your future and the security of your country. Your government has dragged you into a war that is not yours and its serving the interests of its Western Colonials. It is the new facade that has been given to a more subtle form of colonialism and their objective is simply to fulfil the interest of their large companies and look after the growing needs of their own people.

It is now befitting that you ask yourselves why your government has embarked on such a destructive route of hostility that has caused you so much problems. Is the alleged rescue attempt of two white foreigners worth all that trouble while at the same time, there are several Kenyan citizens who are being held as prisoners but yet the Kenyan government has failed to secure their release and save their lives.

If you want peace, remove your military from the Muslim lands that they have invaded and bear in mind that you will not sleep safely in Nairobi and Mombasa as long as your military remains in the Islamic Administrations of Somalia.

Allah says: ‘And let not those who disbelieve think that they can outstrip (escape from punishment). Verily, they will never be able to save themselves (from the punishment of Allah) [Al-Anfal, 59]

Allah also says: ‘Fight against them so that Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing people. And remove the anger of their (believer’s) hearts. Allah accepts the repentance of whom He wills. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. [At-Tawbah 14-15]

We also specifically remind the Muslims of Kenya that the Kenyan regime has perpetrated unspeakable atrocities against you over a long period of time, including the Wagalla and Garrissa massacres as well as the series of heinous crimes currently being carried out by the Kenyan forces. Allah, they Mighty and Exalted, has informed us of the perpetual hatred and enmity that the Kuffar have for the Muslims at all times.

Allah says: ‘With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who are the transgressors. [At-Tawbah, 10]

The Kenyan regime treats you as foreigners and second-class citizens. They have plundered your wealth; most of your scholars have either been imprisoned or were victims of extrajudicial killings. Your regions are the least developed in Kenya and have the least facilities. You have been misled by the false promises of the presidential candidates and the same empty promises are repeated on every election campaign.

Today, the situation has reached such a level that the land of your Muslim brothers in Somalia is invaded and their wealth is plundered while your tax money pays for the weapons and bullets that are used to massacre your brothers. What is incumbent upon you now is to vociferously renounce such actions, boycott the Kenyan elections and wage Jihad against the Kenyan military, for they cannot afford to continue fighting an invasion abroad as well as an internal conflict at home.

Finally, I advise my Muslim brothers in Kenya that the only method by which you can defend your wealth and your dignity is through waging Jihad; it is only through Jihad that you can acquire your full rights and Jihad guarantees you a dignified status both in this world and in the Hereafter.

Allah says: ‘If you do not march forth, He (Allah) will punish you with a painful torment and will replace you by another people, and you cannot harm Him at all, and Allah is Able to do all things’ [At-Tawbah, 39]
