I’d like to share my recent conversation with Doug and the twins (and some other assorted crew who popped by):

First, on Feb. 5 I posted this Twitlonger message at http://www.twitlonger.com/show/kulq3u which seemed to wake up a few people and I had a few conversations with them about it. Doug also flared up a couple of times but I didn’t bite. Finally on Feb. 10, he actually unblocked his account to have a public conversation, and so… I bit. And I think what resulted was very enlightening… but not in any way which favors Doug.

A little backgrounder: As many who’ve been following me know, back in July I posted a blog at http://hoaxcrispies.wordpress.com which explored the Twitter feed of “ASMICHAELSAYSIT” (aka “AMSI”) who was previously known as @mjviva since about mid-2011. At the time, what stood out to me was the familiarity this person, who has been posting as Michael Jackson under these (and other) names, just happened to have with many of the “hoax investigators” in the “believer” community (people who believe Michael Jackson faked his death and is still alive, in hiding).

He was familiar with people like Pearl Jr., Twiggy, “TNZ” and another fellow, Dmovie27, and told his audience to pay attention to what they had to say. Of these, the first three denied any association with him; even openly denounced him. Only “Doug,” Dmovie27, took that endorsement and ran with it. And, @mjviva made a point of endorsing him on six separate occasions, unlike the others. I also noticed that oddly, Viva/AMSI and Doug NEVER tweeted at each other!

Meanwhile, it just so happened that Doug had a group of about 12 of his followers known as his “crew” and they refer to him as their “Captain.” With this shining endorsement from “Michael Jackson,” and with Doug’s return endorsement of this man who offered no proof at all that he was actually Michael Jackson – AMSI became a common theme in the “crew” discussions on Twitter. They’ve made a point of closely following and retweeting him often, and this even seemed to be a requirement of sorts for crew members.

In my first blog, I pointed out what, to me, seemed a clear and obvious connection between Doug and AMSI. What didn’t make a great deal of sense was – how did “Michael Jackson” suddenly emerge on Twitter in August 2011, all too familiar with what “believer” hoax investigators were talking about? Why would this be Michael Jackson’s focus, if he WERE to begin engaging with people on Twitter? Why would he point to other people posting clues about him – if he was there “in the flesh” to speak on his own? Why would be the purpose of endorsing the speculation of others who wouldn’t have had the benefit of his own narrative before then?

The idea that AMSI said Doug was telling the “truth,” implies that they actually knew each other. But Doug is on record saying he hadn’t met him before – by talking about how he would behave if he ever did meet him. Neither Doug nor AMSI ever stated having had any special communications with each other before AMSI started his Twitter account. As a “hoax investigator” videomaker with a “crew,” which indicates someone who would desire an audience of followers to pay attention to him – who would have had a better motive to “create” Michael Jackson out of thin air – to endorse him and thus lend credibility to what he had to say?

Many who had already embraced AMSI (he had some 1,500 followers around that time) had already been listening to him for about a year when I posted my blog – so naturally quite a few were resistant to listen to someone telling them he wasn’t “real” after they’d already crossed that “believability” barrier. I was looking at his Twitter feed all at once; however they had been absorbing it a little bit at a time, each day looking forward to a new set of tweets from him. To me, the inconsistencies were glaring, but they might not have stood out to others who were following so gradually. When I saw that resistance was present, I figured the next thing I had to do was to show just who this Doug guy was, and how he couldn’t POSSIBLY have any meaningful connection to Michael Jackson.

So I looked… and I found. Doug’s “crew” didn’t even realize that his real name is Steven C. Douglas, nor did they know much about him at all, not even what he looked like – or that he had once made an independent film. As they got to know him gradually too, it didn’t seem it occurred to any of them to actually check this guy out. I found his reference to the film on his old YouTube channel, and then found that he had recently posted a number of clips from it – which I learned that none of the crew was even aware of. Since the clips included “behind the scenes interviews,” once I found them, I was soon looking at the face of “Doug” the writer and director, as he talked about his film.

I also found Doug in early 2010 talking in the Michael Jackson Hoax Death forums about his early theories… including the idea that Michael Jackson was a “chosen one,” chosen by the “elite” (or rather, the Illuminati), and the religious overtones this included. I also observed Doug stating that he felt divinely anointed to “speak for Michael Jackson” through his YouTube videos. His words: “now you know why I say I'm the "light of the world". Me and Michael have a LOT in common...there's a connection...that's why I can be a voice for him and the truth shines through in my vids. It's not me, but a higher power using me as a vessel to tell HIS truths.”

His film was finished around 2005, and there are very few references to it on the internet. None of the main people involved with it went on to work on another film. It was a completely amateur production, which is apparent in the clips he shared. He used fellow cooks he worked with at a restaurant as his main actors – who had never acted before. As a cook and flea market video seller in Detroit, it seems highly unlikely that this would-be filmmaker would have ever come to the attention of one Michael Jackson.

His old YouTube “Dmovie27” channel included clips from old “Blaxploitation” films from the 1970s, most still unavailable on home video. Doug calls his channel his “Revenge Channel,” and in reading through the discussions he engages in within these videos’ comment sections, it is clear that Doug is a conspiracy theorist. But in November 2009, he posted a simple tribute video to Michael Jackson, which got the best viewership and commentary of any of his other videos. It wasn’t a “hoax” video – just a bunch of clips thrown together against a Michael Jackson song. With the nice response he received for this – we can see the wheels turning inside his head – and in early 2010, he found the “believer” community and began making videos about Michael Jackson to share with them.

Suddenly he seemed to have a lot of “insight” into Michael Jackson. As a movie enthusiast, he also suddenly decided that today’s movies contain insight into a lot of things about him too – he even stated that the screenwriter is a “chosen one” (as though divinely anointed) and has stated that movies are today’s equivalent of the Bible, where “truth” can be found. As he has also clearly stated that he believes Michael Jackson IS Jesus… he believes he can identify clues to his return… in the movies. Even movies that were made before Michael Jackson was even born. This seems to be the running theme in his interactions with the crew… many of whom were unaware of his theories about MJ’s return as Jesus, or of his theory that the Illuminati had also chosen him. (Or, of his apparent belief that the Illuminati is a benevolent entity!)

Doug is also apparently a fan of numerology, and often crunches numbers around to “prophesize” major disasters and tragedies. (And interestingly, AMSI proclaimed that the number “27” would be important – and look, there’s Doug with that number in his Twitter handle!) Why would this have any relevance to Michael Jackson? If you understand the bigger picture he’s spinning – it’s to speak to the idea that the world is coming to a crucial point where we would NEED the return of Jesus to fix everything that’s wrong. It’s all “warnings.” He needs these connections to help illustrate the need for Michael Jesus Jackson to return to us all. Not to sing and perform again – but to return as a spiritual leader, to literally “heal the world”!

And one ominous undertone is where people believe if Jesus must return, there will be an AntiChrist for him to defeat. Both Doug and AMSI have made public statements against President Obama, which is very interesting. So we have a conspiracy theorist, looking for followers, looking for an audience, who is conveniently “endorsed” by someone saying they are Michael Jackson? And that “Michael Jackson,” as he went along, conveniently began talking about the Illuminati and about how President Obama is to be blamed for the “murder” of children in foreign conflicts – and he even posted a series of photos of dead children on his Twitter feed just to illustrate this.

Like so many fake Michael Jacksons before, AMSI promised he would return. I’ve also pointed out the connection to the person posting as “TheIllusion777” in early 2011, who promised MJ would return on July 13, 2011. He didn’t. TheIllusion777 was very shortly “replaced” with mjviva/AMSI, who emphatically promised he would return within 2011. He didn’t. AMSI then hinted the 27th of July 2012 would be important – the day the Olympics opened, and many followers were watching the event with a keen eye. And he didn’t return, again. This was right after I posted my first blog, and I spoke with a number of followers who finally decided they’d had enough of it, disillusioned after being disappointed again and again by these empty promises. Yet, AMSI swore again after that, that his return in 2012 was “1000% certain” and… he didn’t.

When the Sandy Hook massacre happened recently, it was apparent that many of Doug’s crew felt he had somehow prophesied this. Since the “27” in his name can become “14” when the two numbers are multiplied – he continues to sell his own abilities as a prophet as he continually says, “Stay on 14,” and the first news indicated that 27 died… on the 14th. Right after the news hit, the first observations by his crew were about “how right he was.” It seems that every major traumatic event is examined now through his “prophecies” via his numerology – nevermind that in 2010 he reasoned that a major earthquake would strike California as part of a triad of major disasters (and, it didn’t) – but he boasted that the Hurricane Sandy was something he had foreseen.

All of this – disasters, celebrities dying and “of course” also faking their deaths – madmen killing crowds of people – these point to the idea that the world is going to hell and it needs a Messiah to return. Well, of course – people have been saying this for centuries, and… to my knowledge… the world hasn’t ended quite yet!

As someone who is breeding hatred, paranoia, discontent and cynicism about the state of the world… Doug is at the very least, completely useless. No one needs those messages of doom and gloom. No one needs Jesus, or Michael Jackson, to return and fix what “society” has so badly failed at. People DO need the positive messages those men have delivered in their lives as a foundation to make their own lives better… but this isn’t what Doug is talking about at all. As someone who has usurped the identity of Michael Jackson to help him spread his doom and gloom… he becomes dangerous.

Thus the conversation of February 10 began, with this on my mind as I decided to share this link:

My thoughts on this conversation: What stands out from Doug’s responses is, for one, he has confirmed what I stated before – that he’d told someone that AMSI just “seemed close to the situation” and he “can’t be sure” of someone he hasn’t personally seen. THIS IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE, in light of how much benefit he has enjoyed for having the seeming “endorsement” of Michael Jackson. Did any of his other crew ever challenge him on this? It sure doesn’t look like they have.

Note that Doug unblocked his account and said, “no hiding” – so is that what he’s been doing? If what he’s talking about is “right” and of any value, as the crew seems to feel – why should it be hidden from view?

Also important: Doug accused me of spreading “words and hatred from three years ago” – yet the only words I referred to from three years ago were his OWN.

I linked to his own words from that time – I showed him the link: http://www.michaeljacksonhoaxforum.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=9066&start=25 – which clearly shows him talking about the Illuminati and about Michael’s return as a “chosen one” selected by the elite, AND his statement that Michael has “ACCEPTED what he has to DO” in the form of his return as Messiah. He complained that those words were posted from private emails – BUT HE DID NOT DENY THEM.

So here we can see Doug outright LYING. I showed him where his words were posted; exactly what he said in 2010. I asked him about his remarks that Michael would return as Jesus, and he responded as though it was a ridiculous idea. I asked him about saying that he felt divinely anointed to speak for Michael, and he acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about (and I’ve said this time and again in my blog and other posts, which he’s supposedly read) – YET HE CLEARLY SAID IT AND DIDN’T DENY ANY OF IT when given the chance to set the record straight and disavow those words as being made up by someone else. He even “thanked” me for giving his words from three years ago more power “in spite of all this.”

So far I haven’t seen Doug point out a single thing I’ve written in the last six months that is untrue, other than my claim that he is AMSI. And of course I would expect him to deny that. You saw it here, folks – I asked him straight out to deny he said ANY of those things I’ve reposted, and he didn’t deny a single one of them. He didn’t even try to amend, recant or back away from them. He even seems to proudly claim them if I’ve given them “more power” – yet he sat there boldly lying about it at the same time. It can’t be both ways! Either he DID say those things… or he didn’t. If he DID, then I am not lying about it. If he says something different NOW, then HE is lying about it.

He makes the statement that a person can change a lot in three years – yet he STILL didn’t say anything like, he used to believe what he said… but no longer does. He also says his vids have reflected change. But really, he doesn’t seem to have presented too many new videos recently, and his last batch of them seemed to mostly be just sharing things with minimal commentary, like news reports from around the time of the Conrad Murray trial. His more “outspoken” videos are… from 2-3 years ago. If his videos reflect any special change at all in three years – it’s more like, he’s run out of things to say.

Here he accuses me of treating grown women like children, and treating people like shit who don’t agree with me. A number of his crew (who are all women) have tried speaking with me here and there, and when they did, I responded respectfully and on-point, and I don’t think they’d disagree about that. I might admit to being a bit sarcastic at times if they got snarky with me, but I sure haven’t treated anyone “like children” or “like shit.”

Valentina and Galina tried to say he had told them about his movie before I revealed it in my blog – yet here, Doug confirms he hadn’t shown it to his crew because “it had nothing to do with this.” So I ask you crew – is he only your “Michael Jackson” friend – or is he a REAL friend?

Doug’s own words from 2010 show someone who expressed a hatred of “fans” – which he even expresses in this very conversation by saying he’s moving away from “the fan thing” to engage in productive, intelligent discussion. His inference here is that “fans” don’t do that! THEN WHAT IS HE DOING IN A COMMUNITY OF FANS? His words from 2010 show someone with women-hating issues too, so – WHAT IS HE DOING IN A COMMUNITY OF FANS WHO ARE MOSTLY WOMEN?

He said nothing is “hidden” if it is there to find. Well, having to “find” something in the first place, might indicate that it WAS hidden to some degree – or at least, his definition of “hidden” implies that nothing that can be found COULD have been hidden. Like, contrary to how games of hide-and-seek, or Easter egg hunts work. But that’s really beside the point. If he didn’t share it with you – he didn’t MEAN to share it. Early on he accused me of hacking him to find personal information about him, but EVERYTHING I FOUND was right there for anyone to find… anyone who decided to look. I didn’t invade his privacy and I didn’t need to hack him – I just followed the trail of crumbs he clumsily left behind.

What else is out there to find? There IS more… and I will share it with you soon. For now, just note these few things: Michael Jackson, if he faked his death for some very important reason, such as a life-threatening one, would gain very little, and would risk everything by coming on a site like Twitter. However, someone who is a conspiracy theorist looking for an audience, has an absolute motive to promote his agenda – and so much about AMSI seems to do just that for Doug. And, before I posted my blog six months ago, hardly anyone online knew what Dmovie27 even looked like, or much of anything about his history, or even that his name was really Steve. Take note that in this conversation, Doug outright LIED about what he said in 2010 – which is not really that long ago – but when confronted with it in print, he did not deny it, and he did not take the opportunity to say he no longer stands behind those words.
