Hi Smarties...

I need to say something to y'all. Many people who follow me are people who are sick & suffering, or are trying desperately to change their lives. They are very sensitive & take things very personally.

I'm so happy so many of you have connected with each other, it fills my heart with so much joy. Like the person who's never had 1 friend in their life who now has many. Or the people who thought they were alone who learned they are far from it.

But I have witnessed something that disturbs me greatly...when people tweet things like "I can't do this anymore" or people with a year sobriety tweeting "I'm going to drink now."

Look, this isn't right, and it isn't fair. It can really, really damage people, not to mention freak them out....and some may even relapse.

PLEASE, PLEASE BE CAREFUL. And please think before you say something like that, and then log off.

Twitter isn't the appropriate place for this.

If you need help, call your sponsor, your therapist, a friend. Or DM someone.

But being drawn into a group panic over someone's tweet is just not what my recovery is about. Maybe that's cold. I don't know.

But I suggest everyone take care of their own gardens, and if someone needs help, hopefully they'll be brave enough to get it somewhere other than twitter.

Love

KJo
