“Ever So Lucky“ Predicts Super Sunday Big Game Winner During Wednesday Evenings Daytona Beach Kennel Club Super Match Race
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 30, 2013) – With an early lead “SB'S Harper” wearing the colors of Baltimore pulled ahead through the first and second turn in Wednesday nights’ Super Match Race. As they came into
the third turn, it was “Ever So Lucky” wearing the colors of San Francisco that took the lead and raced to the finish line beating “SB'S Harper”, to win the 2013 Super Dog Exhibition Match Race at the
Daytona Beach Kennel Club & Poker Room Wednesday Evening.
The race was a one on one greyhound match up, with “Ever So Lucky 49ers,” racing as No. 7, quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s number, and wore a warm-up blanket of gold and red, the colors of San Francisco.
The other greyhound, “SB Harper Ravens” ran as No. 5, for Baltimore’s quarterback Joe Flacco and wearing a blanket of purple and black.
Many in the crowd gave a rousing cheer as their team greyhound crossed the finish line to hopefully be the greyhound to predict this year’s big game winner in New Orleans. This is the second year the
entertainment venue has hosted an exhibition race prior to the big game. In 2011, the dog “Kiowa Packers” won the race against “Kiowa Steelers,” a dog from the same kennel, correctly predicting the
outcome.
“We had a great crowd and everyone enjoyed this match up for the 2013 Super Dog Exhibition Race. If prediction holds true, San Francisco will win the big game on Feb 3rd in New Orleans, said Mike Stringer, Director of Operations. A Super Dog Bowl Trophy was presented to “Ever So Lucky” after the race by Michael Stringer Director of Operations and Patricia Brannon Racing Secretary.
