[TRANS] http://bit.ly/TK6tNj (SOOYOUNG) "When we first heard it, we also showed a response like, 'What is this?'" (TIFFANY) "'Where is the hook?' '(after hearing it) Which part do you remember?' were what we asked each other. It's a song that made us experience 'menboong' (mental breakdown)." (SEOHYUN) "It was a a great adventure for us."

The public's response on the title song from Girls' Generation's first album release in over a year, 'I Got a Boy', are extremely ambivalent. While it is receiving good reviews for being unique and fresh, sounding as if it has two or three songs mixed as one, along with various genres and beats. But, there are also those opposing it, saying it's distracting and unnatural. Fans' assessments were similarly in disagreement. On the 7th, each members' thoughts were different. Jessica said fans' responses were, "as expected," while Sooyoung said, "it's worse than expected." (…)

Sooyoung said, "We wanted to come back overturning expectations people had for us." (…)

On their change musically, Taeyeon said, "To put it simply, we've had some foreign water to drink. If we were aiming for popular mass of Korea, we would have gone with a song that's easy to sing along to. After experiencing stages overseas, and after considering the preferences of people in many different countries, I feel there has been a change in music itself." (…)

Overseas media has been choosing Girls' Generation as the next act to follow behind PSY. Yuri Stated, "I'm not sure if it's because of PSY's influence, but it seems their view on Koreans has gotten better/nicer. It feels like attention for KPOP has increased, and so I'm anticipating a world tour."
