Watching this weekend's @meetthepress with the @NRA's #WayneLaPierre. This man has moved well beyond advocacy for gun rights and the Second Amendment, and has now firmly planted he and his organization's flag firmly on the side of accessory to murder. He will broker no new gun regulations whatsoever, cannot conceive of the fact that most mass killers have no history of violent felonies and hence no criminal record with which to alert us to their presence, continues to advocate for solutions that have been tried and failed, and calls for nothing short of an American police state--the very thing he and his fellow gun nuts claim they need their guns to protect against. He is like a wounded animal who knows his end is near, trapped in the corner, lashing out at anything that draws near. The man is literally frothing at the mouth. His arguments are grotesque, his rationale unbalanced, his answers evasive, his compassion tone deaf, and his position unrepentant. Host @davidgregory's incisive and persistent combativeness and unwillingness to ingest, much less digest, the shit LaPierre is shoveling is a credit to him and his famous pulpit.
