First of its kind DNA testing to be done on Sandy Hook shooter. Im all for research but it will remove the "nurture" factor which will pretty much negate any results. Additionally, how can there be any true accuracy with DNA even if findings point to a specific diagnosis or gene abnormality? I dont see how the affect of "spectrum" or "comorbidity" (see below) so individual for each person with mental illness or autism can be measured or accurately taken into account. It would be great if it did but I can't see how it could. Without the nurture factor in combination with whatever abnormalities or mutation in a gene they may find, even if it directly relates to aggressive behavior, it would not mean that any person with that specific disorder or gene abnormality is capable of doing such an unspeakable thing. Medications must also be a factor as one medication may help one child and spin another into mania or psychosis. Exposure to guns and violence can also not be accounted for in such research. I fear it will just start the finger pointing all over again. http://thelifeunexpected.com/archives/2487 Here is the article on the research http://abcnews.go.com/US/dna-newtown-shooter-adam-lanza-studied-geneticists/story?id=18069343#.UNxiZupU7N8
