Here's what RB Fred Jackson told me about his knee injury: "They told me it's a grade II sprain of my MCL. I mean technically it's a tear off the bone, because you tear the ligament away from the bone. So that's why some people say it's a tear, but the ligament itself is intact. It's just pulled away from the bone a little bit."

"It's something that I've done before, so I knew what they were talking about when they said it. It's kind of both. Dealing with it that way you know that you won't have surgery by any means to repair it. They told me I would be out two to three weeks, but I think they might just put me on injured reserve so they can get somebody to come in and play because I won't be able to play the rest of the regular season it looks like. They probably will let me know for sure later today."
