Adrienne let go of the tight embrace she had on Blake.
Blake was still on top of her and amazed at how good the sex was.
people were cheering happy new years outside and being loud.
'happy new year." Blake said looking down at her smiling.
Adrienne smiled back and gently pulled his face closer to hers and kissed him.
"happy new years." she said back.

a month after news years.....

Adrienne woke up early in the morning in her Manhattan apartment. her son, Jody, was cuddled up next to her, sound asleep. Adrienne was going to use Jody's sleep time to get some bill work done. but as soon as she picked her head up from her bed she felt sick. she decided to ignored it and walked to the bathroom across the hall to brush her teeth. while brushing she began to feel her mouth fill up wit saliva. then all of a sudden she felt the need to throw up. she ran over to the toilet released the fluids from her body.
Adrienne's roommate/best friend/ cousin, Serenity, was at the bathroom door concerned.
"Adrienne?" she said.
"yeah?" said Adrienne.
"are you okay?" she said.
"do I sound okay?!!?" said Adrienne throwing up some more.


Adrienne began to feel sick almost everyday. she took pills to make the sick feeling go away, but they returned the next morning.

"maybe its morning sickness." said serenity on morning during breakfast.

"no, its not." said Adrienne, putting a plate in front of Jody. she made a breakfast face on his plate. two eggs:eyes,chopped baby carrots:nose,three strips of bacon:mouth, and broccoli around the top:hair

"I don't want this."said Jody pointing to the broccoli.

"you have to eat it." said Adrienne taking a broccoli off Jody's plate. "umm... that's some good broccoli."

"nooo its not." said Jody.

"yes it is." said serenity taking one off his plate.

"no!" said Jody folding his arms.
"your not leaving the table until your done ." said Adrienne taking another one so there's not a lot left for him to eat by himself.

"nooooo."said Jody whining and crying. "no mommy!"

"eat, jojo."said Adrienne.

Jody cried and threw a lil temper tantrum in his chair. Adrienne ignored it.

"ayee Jody." said serenity. Jody stopped crying. " you better eat your broccoli so you can be big and strong to boss you lil brother around."

Adrienne gave Serenity a look.

"I'm not pregnant."said Adrienne.

"how do you know? did U take a test?"

"no, a woman just know these things." said Adrienne.

"oh whatever, I bet you 20 dollars that you are." said Serenity putting out her hand for Adrienne to shake on it.

"fine, tomorrow."

"tomorrow? why tomorrow? you got something to hide?" said Serenity with confidence.

"fine, today."

after breakfast the three of them went to the movies and saw a cartoon movie, then went to a near by playground and let Jody run wild, got lunch, and on the way home stopped at a drug store to get three pregnancy test.

"ima get 20 dollars, get 20 dollars, get-get 20 dollars, hey hey hey hey!" said Serenity as Adrienne closed the bathroom door.

Adrienne read the necessary steps to find out if she was pregnant. after she was done reading she sat and thought.

'what if I am pregnant? do I really want another baby...well if I am pregnant I rather find out at a doctors office then to find out here and loose 20 dollars' she thought to herself.

Adrienne turned the sink on very quietly. she let the water tickle down on the pregnancy sticks and sat them at the edge of the sink and waited for her fake results.

"hold up you could be doing something to the sticks, open up!" said Serenity.

Adrienne opened the door.
When the results showed up Adrienne started dancing in Serenity's face.
"HA! I told you! I told you! I am negative!"

it was only 20 dollars of their millions. but it was still a won bet!

(Serenity and Adrienne have been acting in TV shows and movies since they were little girls. and they got paid every time the movies or shows are shown on TV.)

Adrienne danced all the way up to her bed room. when she got there she call the doctors office and made an appointment. and so Serenity didn't know she cheated she made an appointment for Jody's yearly check-ups. to make it seem like that was why they were going.

Adrienne and Jody sat in the doctors office. Jody just got his shots and Adrienne was calming him down.

"it hurts." said Jody in his mothers arms whipping his tears.

"i know, i know." said Adrienne rocking him back and forth.

after he calmed down Adrienne helped her him put his clothes back on. she was going to meet the doctor on the way out to tell her if she was pregnant or not.

Adrienne grabbed Jody's hand and led him to the front desk where their doctor met them.

"so, we have your results and you are pregnant, congratulations! 3 weeks." the doctor keeled down to Jody and said"i'll see you next year." Jody hid behind his Adrienne's legs .

Adrienne heart started beating fast and hard. she was only 18 and was about to have her second child.

"hello?"said Taylor, Blake's older brother, over the phone.

"hi Taylor this is Adrienne,um is Blake there?"she said.

"oh hey, yeah hes here." Taylor passed the phone to Blake. "Adrienne." he whispered.

"hello?"said Blake said.

"hi." said Adrienne

there was a pause between them. Adrienne didn't actually know how to tell him the news.

"is everything okay?" he said.

"yeah, i took Jody to the doctor today."

"oh really what did the doctor say?"

"that hes healthy." she said.

"oh, that's good."

Blake could feel that Adrienne had something to tell him, he just wanted her to hurry up and say it.
Adrienne hoped that he wouldn't be an asshole when she tell him and act like hes not the father.

"yeahh, i got a check up too."she said.

"are you healthy?"said Blake sarcastically.

"yeah, im healthy."

Blake was becoming annoyed with the awkward conversation.

"soooo, can i talk to Jody?" he said after a long pause.

"sure." she said calling Jody over to talk to Blake.
"hi daddy!"said Jody excited.

Blake and Jody had a long conversation about random things, like toy cars, Jody's friends at the park,etc. they went back and forth for a while until finally Jody said bye to his father and gave Adrienne back the phone.

"Blake?" she said

"yeah?"

"i got a check up too and-"

"your healthy, i know." said Blake finishing her sentence.

"no."

"no?" he said "your not healthy?"

"no, im pregnant."

Blake had a surprised look on his face.he was lost for words.

"Blake?"said Adrienne waiting for a response.

"yeah." he said.

"...what are you thinking?"she said.

"i-i don't know."

there was a even longer pause.

"Blake?" she said getting annoyed.

there wasn't an answer. Blake was in deep thought and didn't hear her calling him.

"yea, i'm here." he finally said. "so your coming back to Oklahoma, right?"

"no."she said.

"what do you mean no?" he said.

Adrienne forgot how protective he use to be.

"no im not coming."

"so your gonna be in your apartment pregnant, with a toddler, alone?"he said as if she said the stupidest thing he ever heard.

"why don't you come here." said Adrienne.

after a while of convincing him he finally agreed to come visit her. he was gonna be doing draft camp stuff. when his schedule required him to be in NY he would be there.

"okay." said Adrienne smiling excited for him to come.
