The bewitching American singer Adam Lambert came to Hong Kong last week to perform in 2012 Mnet Asian Music Award (MAMA) and was interviewed by media. Adam, who just finished his MAMA rehearsal and made it to the interview gave high praise to Big Bang and said he likes their fashion very much. When he learned the lead singer D-Dragon is well versed in fashion designed, Adam thought he is very cool and express his desire to indulge in fashion design in the future. When talked about the the newly exploded onto scene and hugely popular PSY, who will attend MAMA too, Adam thought PSY gave K-Pop artists great hope and encouragement. He showed them that one can succeed and swept over the whole world if you don’t give up on your music.

Other than shopping and enjoy delicious food, Adam also patronized gay bars during his visit in Hong Kong. As a gay man, Adam was asked about the news that recently some singers in Hong Kong came out of the closet and did he have any advice for them? Adam said he understood how they must feel, that we are all regular people like everybody else, who deserved love and happiness. Being open meant they can enjoy more love and happiness that follows. He also disclosed that he will return to LA during Christmas holidays and spend the time with friend and family and his boy friend.

He appreciated Brian and Roger very much.
Recently Adam was invited by famous rock band Queen to take the deceased lead singer Freddie Mercury’s place and became the temporary lead singer of Queen. They performed all over the world. He talked about the extensive preparation for this event and the 10-day rehearsal. He didn’t just imitate Freddie, but also injected his own style. Despite his abundant stage experience, he was still nervous; because Queen is a legendary band. However, he had a lot of fun performing with them. When asked which member of the band was his favorite, he smiled and said guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor were both very warm and accessible. Brian was very smart and Roger full of energy.

On top of that, Adam was also invited to perform live in The Voice China finale earlier. He was most impressed by the many talents. He felt it was very enjoyable to collaborate with them and had a wonderful experience.
