Yesterday, along with Arjun, Rathod, Shree and Chhotu, thousands of Arjun lovers cried when Riya lost her life in the line of duty.

Some fans vented the anger towards us - the writers, creatives, makers for killing the character. While some fans maintained that it was better than replacing Sana with another girl. Believe me when I say this, We loved Riya as much as any fan out there. While audience lived with her every weekend and kept her alive in discussions and posts during the week, we lived with her day and night, nurturing and moulding her in our heads and hearts every minute.

Having said that, I firmly believe that No character in team ETF is sacrosanct. They perform their duties with immense bravery and courage but are not inviolable. Real dangers loom around their lives 24/7. ACP Rathod almost died once... Arjun was shot... Riya got shot... Shree got trapped... and many more horrible things happened and will continue to happen to them. Those brave ETF members have chosen to risk their all to protect the society against all evils.

The effectiveness of the story lies deep rooted in this belief. The viewers know and understand that the dangers are real, keeping them on the edge every time ETF is out there fighting the bad guys. Death is as real as life is and thus in Arjun - where we try to never lose touch with reality.

I am overwhelmed with the response to the tragic event that happened yesterday. It only means that all of you out there love and care for the show. We are truly blessed to have made such a special place in your hearts in such a short span. Thank you very much for all your love and support. We will do our best to never disappoint you. Keep watching. ARJUN - Har yug mein aayega ek. Every Sat - Sun 8PM IST. Only on star plus.
