Please Read: [Actual Translation of Jaejoong's ELLE Interview]
Lately there seems to be a lot of fighting in between certain fandoms about a quote from Jaejoong in the November ELLE magazine. There has also been a false translation that has been spread around, so I just wanted to take some time to make it exceedingly clear what is real and what is false when it comes to this portion of the interview.

Korean transcript of the portion:
"해외 팬들에겐 JYJ라는그룹을 건너뛰고 여전히 예전의 영웅재중으로 연결되는 점이 아쉽죠" 각자의 커리어를 쌓을 수 있는 상대적 기회 속에서 유기적으로 활동하는 JYJ의 세 멤버들은, 활동을 위한 차선일 수도 있는 시간을 가능성 있는 분야에 대한 정공법으로 맞이하는 중이다.

Translation of the portion:
"I feel sad that overseas fans overlook the band JYJ and still think of me as previous YoungWoong Jaejoong." The three members of JYJ, who are organically working towards the relative opportunities that can help in building each members' careers, are now facing a time where, in some potential areas, their career is on the second best track.

This is the actual translation of the portion of JJ's interview. It seems as though there has also been a false translation being spread by YunJae fans which completely twists the meaning of the interview by adding in fake information.
Now let's look at the false translation that was being spread by a YunJae fan as the "truth"
[TRANS] Elle November "To overseas fans, they'll overlook group JYJ, and link me with Youngwoong Jaejoong from the past together. I am regretful about this." Towards this, Jaejoong expressed the hardship for each Actor Jaejoong and JYJ member Jaejoong when he has to take care of both roles at the same time. Thinking back, 9 years of eternity will also pass by. However, the strength that is left behind is what that should be cherished.

This translation is pretty much 100% false (what else can you expect when looking at the original source?)
There is even a very easy way that you can tell it's false even if you don't know any Korean.
Let's take this phrase from the fake translation: "Jaejoong expressed the hardship for each Actor Jaejoong and JYJ member Jaejoong"
The Korean word for actor is : 배우 And of course you know the Hangul for Jaejoong is 재중
Do you see the term "Actor Jaejoong" (배우 재중) or "JYJ member Jaejoong" (JYJ 멤버 재중) anywhere in the original paragraph?

You can search for a long time, but you won't be able to find it at all!!!
This is the kind of false information that YunJae fans are spreading....
So before you go and bash other people's translations as false, make sure yours is actually true. I understand that for some people "keeping the faith" is more important than what Jaejoong actually says, but do not spread false translations in order to do that. Especially not when you try to pass it off as being real while bashing on the people who actually know Korean.
There are always many fake translations that come out that misuse and destroy Jaejoong's words and intentions. Because of that, please be wary when reading translations that come from non-Korean sources. When in doubt, it is always best to use the original Korean sources and ask any of us Korean translators (JYJ or OT5 translators) for help if you cannot read it.
