“I was a stay at home mom, I went to school to become a teacher, I never actually went and got the job, I graduated and got engaged all at the same time and my husband wanted me to run his business for him.”

From the season 4 finale (PFS September 27, 2011)

Melissa: “First of all I was a school teacher, it’s very different from being a dancer. When your brother met me I was a school teacher do you understand that?”

Teresa: “No, you were going to college.”

Melissa: “And I was teaching second grade.”

Melissa met Joe at Lookers Gentleman’s Club in 2003.

MG: “That, I have to say, was probably the least amount of stress. It was just so absurd. It was so ridiculous. Joe [Gorga] actually used to come see me when I bartended there. I bartended when I was in college.” (Meliss seemed to have a brain lapse over when she graduated! Minor detail? Right?) “He knows! From the very start, it was just ridiculous. It seemed very set-up; it was set-up”……
