Dear supporters and haters for Shinhwa Forever Subs, Thank you very much for being with us all these while.
It's been a pretty long journey, especially for me. And I am really beyond happy that we've come so far, done so much. All the thank you's we got, it's not something I thought I would see when I first started SFsubs.
When I first started SF, it was more for doing events and projects with Shinhwa Changjo from overseas. Because we're all not from Korea, we only could do our own international projects and have fun on our own. Subbing was a side project. Whenever we're free, we sub and share. It started out with just Trisha @nglkt and Nicole, recruiting a few subbers to help us along the way.. @roshinhwa6 was one person i can still remember now that has been with us since almost the beginning. It was when Shinhwa went on hiatus, we were trying to share videos and do projects so that Fans will still remember them. And also because there wasn't any english subbing team for Shinhwa even though they've been around for so long..
Then it came to a point of time where Trisha got busy, I got busy, the whole SF just went dead.. Many were asking, "when are you all going to continue to sub?" "Are we going to do project for XXXX concert?" "NOOO~ is SFforum dead" I felt really guilty as i said, "sadly yes~ hhahha sorry, give me sometime to build up my team again"
So i met Shimin @forever6_ , a crazy little human. HAHA but she's so enthusiastic it's amazing. So together, we tried to revive this dead forum, recruited people again. Made a SFsub team 2012. It started off pretty pathetic, and Shimin and I went crazy rushing out videos. I remember saying, "sorry for being late, our team only have 6 people now HAHA give us sometime" This was before SB, before their comeback.
Bit by bit, our team grew and Shimin and i would, " WOOHOO~ new subber signed up!" "New translator!! yay!" Then we met alot of really awesome and passionate people who are really, i would say, as crazy as Shimin and I. @iloveminbong @VFelisa . Always making time to sub and finish up our parts as soon as we can. Spamming people about subbing and so on. It was funny~ And also, our designer! She's really enthusiastic too, full of ideas and many great designs @Shinie165. She would make smileys, badges, and wherever she can, without us even asking her to design anything, she would ask us, "can i change the background for this?" "can i create a badge for that?"
Bit by bit, we met even more awesome people! People who didn't join our team but allowed us to use her (Axerine) translations WITH PROPER CREDITS to sub our videos.
Our subteam grew. Really by alot.. yes there were people who left, but there are people who still joins us. We always understand that, yes, we're fangirls but we also have our own lives. I never believed in forcing my team to rush out the work. Since my very first subteam, I always say, "own time, own target. Just do it at your own pace. Don't worry" but the team is amazing! We can't beat the speed of the China fans, but it's relatively fast!
The dedication I see from these people is really one of the main reason why we haven't given up. You always hear or see us complain, "NOT GOING TO SUB ANYMORE!!!!" but we ended up still doing it. Because how can we stop when our team is working so hard! They are not giving up on us, we shan't give up on them.
Then we decided to start adfly, many were against it, of course we could understand why. So time after time, we tried our best to explain why we're using adfly, we apologised time after time for making fans go through the pain of waiting.
If you don't already know us, let me guarantee you that ever since we started SF or even as long as we started fangirling online, we have NEVER taken anyone's work or efforts as our own, what more money that we all earned together? My subbers probably put in more effort than I did now, in all the subbed videos. How can I sleep peacefully knowing that I took the money that they worked so fard for?
So no, the money is still in paypal, NOTHING has been drawn out. because we haven't had the chance to buy anything for Shinhwa yet. One ricestand that you see in a concert already cost many 100,000 won for just 20kg. So we're hoping by next year's concert, we can accumulate enough to buy maybe 100kg for them, from ALL INTERNATIONAL FANS. I am already looking forward, even planning how I want the card on the ricestand to look like.
But now, only recently, we found SO MANY people taking our videos, using their own links to earn money from SF videos or even other subteam's videos. On youtube and other websites.
Recently we even saw this on our Sftumblr "Thanks SF: thanks for subbing the videos for me to steal and make money! thanks to you i earned at least $5 already just for 1 vid! Easy money! I just need to download it and upload using my own name"
We can't stop you, in all honesty, so if you can live with yourself, go ahead, Anyway the money is not from my pocket, I hope your 5 dollars can buy you a nice plate of sashimi and gloat over how smart of you to be able to live off other people. It's not as though you post the videos in "your name" and they magically disappear from our name.
What has fandom become.. In my time, (not as though I am really old but..) don't talk about earning money from other people's video. Just taking the videos and reposting without credit was a like a huge crime. and we would apologise to the uploader and subbers for that. Nowadays, these kids' have some nerves...But then again i feel honoured that we're famous enough that people are stealing from us, hating us and stuff like that. Because, the higher up your are, the higher the number of people trying to get you down. So it's still a compliment to us. Thank you!
But I would really really want to thank all our supporters. There we have people telling us off for using adfly, trying to "earn money from fans" and on the other hand, we have people who donated money to us, saying "Thank you so much for your hardwork".. Thank you all. It's not the money that matters, it's that support you gave us. Sherene Yahia, elizabeth harrington, marsha maung, Kathleen Lin, dillah norsia.
Even on twitter.. Shimin and I are forever complaining nonstop over and over that we're probably annoying some fans. but there are always people who tells us "Hang in there!" "Aww! don't give up!" "Oh my goodness! why are there such fans? Don't worry! we will support you all" "Don't worry about it! We understand! and we will support you! don't give up" These are really really great. To know that there are those *insert insults* people who keeps bringing us down, discouraging us, but there are more people helping us back up, supporting our old aching backs! haha. Among the many supporters is our Phi unni!forever there to give us our much needed support ! There're really so many people I can't remember who right now!
We've come so far, met so many awesome people, we've worked hard together. This is NEVER a Shimin and Nicole effort, not even a SFsub team effort! This is EVERYONE'S effort. You support, encouragement, help, ideas, suggestions, hates, insults and many others are the things that kept us going, working even harder than before.

It's not easy to work with insane admins, who forever talk about quitting and not wanting to be their fans anymore. Good job~ you are all surviving our nonsense! HAHA you all have worked hard! All these months! Thank you! Thank you for not getting angry with us! Hang in there! <3
Thank you all for being here with us, as we walk together on this journey laughing at Shinhwa, crying with Shinhwa, complaining and trolling. It's been happy, sad, angry and many other emotions! But it's great having each other to be going through all these together. So from us to you, Thank you all... We're working really hard and as fast as we can. Please be patient with us.
