#Yemen -- Zandani calls for expelling American marines
FNA 19.09.12 Leader in Yemen’s al-Islah party Abdul Majid al-Zandani demanded US marines depart from Yemen and rejected their stay under any circusmtances.
A statement issued by the Yemeni Clerics Association, headed by Sahykh Zandani, condemned all foreign intervention threatening Yemeni security and stability, considering the approval to allow foreign troops in Yemen treason in the context of Islamic Sharia, and laws of this country.
“we demand the departure from Yemeni territorial lands and seas of all foreign military forces under any pretext, and for the government to carry out Parliament’s decisions in this regard. Continued presence violates our sharia laws, the constitution, UN Security Council resolutions, international conventions and makes our country an occupied land requiring resistance”, the statement said.
