I just kind of stumbled into @CarlyTarett while she was handing out flyers for her one-woman show Sinful http://www.edfringe.com/whats-on/theatre/sinful-free and I really enjoyed it. She showcases an amazing range of characters, and busted her butt for an audience of 12 people.

A few days later, I saw a flyer fall out of a backpack, and I promised myself I would see whatever show was on the flyer. So it may have been an act of fate that led me to @KerryGilbert in Triumphs. http://www.edfringe.com/whats-on/comedy/kerry-gilbert-triumphs Her show was so much fun - and she made an amazing Tori Amos the next night at my own show.

Both women were so talented and worked so hard in front of such small crowds. It reminded me of the days when every match was my most important match, no matter how small the crowd. Hey, Shane Douglas and I TORE IT DOWN in Poka, West Virginia in front of 26 people in 1986! I've done many of these comedy shows where my old line about having dozens..and DOZENS of fans seemed eerily accurate. But people still do things because they love it.

Hope those of you going to @EdFringe will find the time to see these women do what they love.
