Hi all!
As some of you may know October is national breast cancer month. I know that October is near 2 months away, however, here in Louisville, KY we are HIGHLY competitive with our teams.
Here in Louisville, we have the Susan G Komen "Race for the Cure". It's the one day that the lives of the survivors and those who have passed on are celebrated in bulk. So much pink, it's uncomfortable(:
Breast cancer hits very close to home for me; having had 3 family members with it: my great-grandmother, my aunt, and my mother. My aunt, Melinda, was the not so lucky one. She fought the hardest battle I've ever seen, passing away at the young age of 39.
Since 2009, the year Melinda passed away, we have been the team that have raised the most money each year. The proceeds all go towards the fight against cancer.
I've never asked before, and I'll probably never ask again for your help. Any donation is helpful, and if you can't, just spread the word.
