ISF Animal Sanctuary Poem.

Finding Each Other.....

Ben sat in his bedroom all quiet and alone,
Not a person to whom he could talk to.
With a weight in his heart, so heavy to bear,
He curls up on his bed feeling blue.

The abuse and bad words would soon fill his home,
Gone is the bully, he's now the victim.
Two worlds apart was the life that Ben led,
Filling his head with hatred to the brim.

For tomorrow at school, somebody would pay,
For the life that he led back at home.
He had to get out and so he did leave,
Walking the streets feeling oh so alone.

A yelp in the distance was all he could hear,
Someone else was in pain just like he.
On venturing closer, a sight made him gasp,
A dog crying and tied to a tree.

He thought for a moment, how could this be,
Why did they torment this dog so?
He couldnt just stand here watching for more,
He would realease the dog, then they would go.

Walking together he thought for a while,
Was this how others viewed him?
Children would cower and run far away,
His life seemed so dull and so dim.

On sitting together Ben looked into his eyes,
So much love was there trying to be free.
With his arms wrapped around him and holding him tight,
Through his tears he could finally see.

This dog needed love and care just like him,
They would be happy if they were together.
No more would he torment the others he school,
And his heart felt as light as a feather.

So now when Ben goes to school every day,
He smiles as he knows deep inside.
He now has a friend who will listen to him,
Not being a bully had filled him with pride.

The dogs name was 'Buster' he decided,
They continue to meet every day.
For Buster helped him out in so many ways,
Standing tall and proud, here he will stay.

No more is the bully that once ruled his life,
No more is the pain Buster got.
For they changed the lives of each other around,
Their new lives, they love them alot.
