Updates about Green Hill:
#StopGreenHill Green Hill, the sadly notorious farm which breeds beagles for cruel animal experimentation, was seized by the police and the Italian State Forestry Department on Wednesdays morning, the dogs were checked by the police.
Several illegal activities were found inside Green Hill, for example dogs which were not god for experimentation were killed before to be registered (as documented by an audio recording between a vet and another worker of GH), three people are charged for animal cruelty, police as also fund that Marshall Farm (the American business which runs GH) attempted to cancel the evidences. These are good news but now the dogs are still a possession of Green Hill and Marshall Farm, they can’t be sold because they are seized by the police, so they won’t be sent to die in laboratories, but on the other hand they can’t be adopted, there is a project “Vita da cani” which rehabilitate dogs used for animal experimentation (the only one in Italy) that is working for saving the dogs. In fact until Green Hill is closed we’ll keep on fighting.
There is a law which could stop Green Hill forever, but the vote of Italian Senate is needed to approve the law. This article http://www.whitewolfpack.com/2012/07/green-hill-vivisection-breeding.html
says that the art. 14 was already voted by an overwhelming majority of the House, it’s true but to be approved needs to pass the XIV Commission of Italian Senate, several amendments were proposed (also to cancel the whole article 14) and now the Commission is still voting.
Investigation on illegal activities at GH is going on, last news (20 minutes ago): 100 dead dogs were found inside the freezer at GH. I think it will be closed at the end of the investigations, but I want to be sure about it!

I’m really glad to know that on Wednesday Italian police seized the farm called Green Hill and checked the dogs which are supposed to be mistreated by people who works inside Green Hill.
But I also know the farm is not closed yet, notwithstanding all the protests against Green Hill and animal experimentation which is cruel and could be replaced with other methods that don’t hurt animals. So I ask to close down Green Hill immediately and forever.
To the major and to the Asl I ask to repeal the permission you gave to the farm to breed dogs, because of the evidence of illegal activities going on at Green Hill’s, like the killing of some dogs before they were registered to the authorities as required by law.
To the region Lombardia and its President, Formigoni, I just want to make notice that he made promises to close down Green Hill in January 2012 but it was only propaganda.
