Hi everyone,
Here is something I have been sending out to anyone & everyone. You can just cut & paste or change what you want. The more people who send stuff out the better chance we have at being successful. Feel free to email or facebook any group you can think of. Also remember Labs & Friends.org will pull any dog as long as someone agrees to foster them until they are adopted with no exceptions. They are very good at finding dogs homes although pits do tend to take a little longer. They will provide everything necessary & do the work to find these kids a home all you would need to provide is the roof over their head. Training & love is appreciated too. I have fostered two dogs through them Cameron from Rancho & now Dodger and both were found homes rather quickly (less than 2 weeks). I am on the list to pull for their rescue so we could do that at anytime.
I will attach pictures & the word doc as well as pasting the bios in the body of this email.
Thanks for everyone's help. You don't know if you don't try.
Vicky
Bowie (A652242) is a neutered, 2 ½ year old, blue & white pittie who has been at the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Shelter since January 18, 2012. He has until Monday July 16th to find an adopter or rescue or he will be killed. Bowie is a people loving pit who is very submissive to humans and might have been treated cruelly in the past which sometimes makes him shy. He is a playgroup participant at the shelter, where he plays off leash in the yard with about 10-12 other large dogs. He loves playgroup and does great with all the dogs, but his favorite thing is to get attention from the volunteers who monitor playgroup. He walks well on a leash and loves to lie in the grass. Bowie deserves a nice home after spending 6 months in a small cage on a concrete floor. He is very skinny due to kennel stress which has moved him to the top of the kill list. With 190+ dogs the shelter is at 150% capacity so there is no time left for Bowie and a few of his friends. Please won’t someone say this sweet boy?? There is a $150 starting donation from a volunteer group to a qualified rescue that will save Bowie and find him his forever home.

Mae West (A652858) is a 2 ½ year old spayed red & white pittie girl who has been at the Rancho Cucamonga Shelter since Feb 11, 2012. The volunteers were given warning that Monday July 16th is Mae West’s last day to get adopted or rescued or she will be killed. Mae West is a sweet people loving dog. She just finished healing after someone put another dog in her kennel by mistake and she was chewed up pretty good. She is all better physically now but she might need to be an only dog for a while or with another super mellow dog until she can heal emotionally. Mae West loves to give kisses and loves her treats. She is a very fast learner and is very eager to please her handler. She will even jump right in the trunk of the car she is so desperate to get out of the shelter alive. Please someone give this sweet girl a home and show her not everything in life is bad. Don’t let her last couple of months in the shelter be all she gets out of life. Monday is her last day & she deserves so much more. A volunteer group will donate $150 to a qualified rescue who can help Mae West find her forever home where she will be loved and not harmed anymore. Rancho Shelter also does not charge any qualified 501c3 rescues any pull fees.

Jean (A651082) is a 1 year and 4 month old, spayed, black and white lovely pittie girl. Jean has been at the shelter since November 22, 2011 almost 8 months. Jean came into the shelter when she was just 8 months old and has spent half her young life in a cage. Jean has until Monday July 16 to get adopted or rescued or she will be killed. Her young life will be over too soon. Jean is quite a small sweet girl who can be a little shy with other dogs. She has been paired with males in the past and was even in playgroup a couple of times but it was too overwhelming for such a shy girl. She is a volunteer favorite and a group has pledged $150 to a qualified rescue who will take Jean in & Rancho Shelter does not charge 501c3 rescues any pull fees. Won’t someone please give this sweet girl a chance at a normal life free from a cage? Monday is her last day at the shelter one way or another please let her story have a happy ending.
