"I tend to work in spurts, you know I'll go through a few months where I just feel really, really creative, uh and I have a new idea every day. And, you know, knock on wood, I'm in the middle of one of those right now. Um, but there are times when I just...you know it's better for me to live life and to not spend every waking moment around a piano or a guitar or a vocal mic. Um, so it just, it just depends, I think uh, to do it any other way, I think if all I did was write songs all the time and force myself to write every day, eventually I'd, I don't know that I'd have any __ experience to pull from. Uh, and vice versa, I think if, you know, uh, if all I did was go out and have a good time to gain experience and never wrote about it, then it kinda gets lost in the shuffle anyway."
